Daily Squawk Report:
I'm pleased to announce we have a happy, hungry, squawky, paper-shredding, PDLB-ing (public display of peeing in the litter box) kitty in the house :-D . I can even hear her purring from across the room! (Ripley's not a big purr-er.)
She is taking breaks from her breakfast to parade past civvie Smokey and drooler Marley's breakfasts, hoping they accidentally fling some of their food into her mouth. Normalcy in Ripleyville this morning. :-D :-D :-D

I'm prepared for her numbers to be affected by several factors: she started a low dose of Prednisolone treatment yesterday, and she's taking Clavamox liquid (sweet) for her infection, both of which will likely increase her BGs; but her infection is (hopefully) clearing up, and her p'titis is lessesning, so that may help counteract the higher BGs.
I'm going to continue her on f1.25u (7 cycles so far) for now, unless otherwise advised...

She's feeling good. Still snacking on her breakfast (may resort to adding some tuna water for enticement), and she snuggled with me for the first time since Monday :-D .

How wonderful Ripley is feeling so good this morning. :-D I hope the prednisolone and Clavamox don't keep Ripley high all of the time.

You did call it that her numbers could, and probably would go up due to varying factors tonight. The awesome news is that she is feeling GOOD - wahooo!!! Have a great night filled Ripley happiness, Josie!

It's so good to read a squawk report of Ripley starting to feel normal again. Yeah for the purrs and cuddles. :-D :-D Sorry about the numbers - the girls are spending WAY too much time on the yellow floor today.

Hi Josie,
I am so glad to hear that Ripley is feeling more like squawky self!
I'm sorry that the meds are affecting her number, but I'm sure she prefers a little higher BG and no infection.
Sending continuing healing vines to Ripley for quick recovery.

Ripley had a mellow afternoon ~ I ended up syringe-feeding the rest of her breakfast to her. She didn't mind at all. In fact, she licked the syringe tip as I pushed food out. It's the first time she hasn't been semi-"forced" to eat food from the syringe. She cuddled some more with me, and has a good appy tonight. I added a T. of Friskies Special Diet T&G to her Wellness Turkey, for extra enticement; it worked :-D .
No CPC yet, but she just may get there eventually tonight.

I noticed that her fur is getting back to being soft; it's amazing how our kitties' fur is a gauge for how they're feeling.

Always glad to hear about happy kitties!
Sounds like she is improving by leaps and bounds.

Sorry to see her higher numbers, but sounds like her infection is getting better.
Numbers will return to normal once the other more important things are dealt with!
