It almost doesn't seem real that he's on Day 8. I love that little fella and I'm so very thankful he found my family.
For a while I questioned if anything I had done since finding him had helped him or just made his life harder or possibly even shortened it but I see now it was just a journey.
While it saddens me that he had to go on the journey of diabetes I realize it was preparation for me so I would be able to care for my Dixie Doodlebug dog. The day he started his OTJ she was diagnosed and his journey and the help of the group gave me the knowledge to start helping her.
Day 8 and all in my feelings today :bighug:

@Wendy & Bocephus cat , I would like to invite you to join FBs Canine Diabetes Support and Information group. I'm a moderator over there and we have over 16,000 members. https://www.facebook.com/groups/CanineDiabetesSupportandInformation (CDSI) With dogs being type 1 diabetics, we do things a bit differently regarding feeding, desired BG range, insulin adjustments and other stuff. It's a private group so you have to join, but you would easily be approved. I would love to see you there!

Thank you so much I have joined but it's a relief to know you are there and even better a moderator. It is vastly different and tons of information so I did have that overwhelmed feeling just like I did when I first got here but I could tell right away they were as awesome as this group. It makes it harder that she has Cushing's.
