11/19 Tansi AMPS 103, +6 72,+11 79, PMPS 76, +4 90,

Nice work, Cindy!!! :D I wish Kona would look like Tansi's SS. Great job!

I see your sig has Tansi as a FIP survivor, that is amazing. I have friends going on day 20 of injections now and are struggling with it.

Did you give FIP treatments past the suggested 84 days?

There should be blood work done every 4 weeks or so, which will let the admins know how he is doing. So by the time kitty has reached 84 days, they will know if more treatment is needed. Most cats don't need any more injections after that. Then there is a 3 month period at the end of which kitty is declared cured. Tansi had 84 days treatment.

20 days is still very early in treatment. Tansi was still very ill by that time. He did take longer to respond to treatment because he was a senior.
Progress is very slow for the first month and then they start to feel much better.

It is so hard giving the shots and it really hurts them but in the end they always forgive you and people feel more confident and gratified once they see real progress.

I hope kitty is cured. It's a really cruel disease. All the best!

Thank you so, so much! I will keep them in high spirits as much as I can. They were telling me they instructed them to use like a 26 gauge syringe???? That's crazy big, is that normal? Maybe the medicine is thicker than insuline and requires a larger needle? Or just more liquid in general so you need to get it in quicker?

I use a 31 gauge for Kona's glargine, can't imagine 26 gauge. Ouchie!

Yes, the medicine is really thick and that's why the gauge is thick.
