Stella's Condo

Hello everyone! I hope all is well with you!!! I am into the Holidays with my busiest two months ever. My sister is coming in a couple of times every day to feed and scoop out the LB and give a litte time and attention to my furry friends. Stella has decided she doesn't care for my lovely sister, so she refuses to be a good fur ball and take her insulin without harming my sister. As a result, my sister won't give the injections any more. I am hoping this will pass...but I somehow think they have a stalemate. As a result, Stella will be missing a large amount of injections. I am hoping we make it through the Holiday Season without any major setbacks. Please send us your prayers that we scrape through.

Stella is sitting next to me on the desk as I type, and is in great spirits. She is high with the BG levels, but that has been the norm lately even with my being home. I am focusing on her demeanor which is wonderful and loving when I am around. All the P's are in place and we couldn't be a happier household. Maybe they are getting the sleep they need while I am gone. ;-) :mrgreen:

Sending prayers that Stella and your sister come to an agreement, and shots are back on the schedule.
I'm glad she is feeling fine, but want her to continue to do so, and be treated for her diabetes (get the insulin she needs).

Can she give some extra special treats, or food, immediately after the injection (successful or not, just like with testing), so Stella will eventually begin to associate the shot with the special treat or food? Just a thought, and trying to help.
