Green barely.

All greens last night. Accidentally set my 12:30 alarm to PM instead of AM so slept right through +6.

Re: 11/19 Maverick AMPS - oooh 99 lol

Nice green AMPS Maverick!
Here is your link to yesterday's condo: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=30060
How is maverick feeling? All Ps in place? (Pooping, Peeing, Preening, Purring, Playing?)
Hope you have a Happy Friday! Are you home today?

Re: 11/19 Maverick AMPS - oooh 99 lol

Thanks guys :)

All Ps in place (except playing - arthritis nixes his mobility significantly so he mainly lays down). I have cosequin but can't recall if I can add this to his foods or not. If so I'll put the boxes out so I remember to start using them. Do cats sometimes change in the Ps when they go green? I thought that was only if they went hypoglycemic. I wish he'd forgo the 6AM talking sessions though. Do other diabetes cats do this too? He'll just come into the dark bedroom, lie on the floor and meow normally, but we are both trying to sleep darnit.

Re: 11/19 Maverick - lost test strips - try another meter?

I've lost a whole container of 50 test strips. I've been looking for them for an hour.

I have an accucheck Nano. But I have a coupon for a free one touch mini - if the strips are cheaper - should I try this unit or is the accucheck better?

Re: 11/19 Maverick - lost test strips

I use the ReliOn meter from Walmart. It is $9 and the strips are the cheapest - 100 strips for $39. It works great for me. My vet and I did a test side by side with the ReliOn and the AlphaTrak. They numbers were off by one!

Re: 11/19 Maverick - lost test strips

there is a product called Lubraflex that I order from KV vet. It is for dogs and cats. I originally used FlexPet which you can check out on lineit has a lot of info about an ingredient called cetyl myristoleate. My 14 yr old sheltie could barely walk so I gave him Flex Pet for a year. He did improve a lot but this summer he became a lot less active again, Then I came acrossed the LubraFlex it has 500mg of the CM. Flexpet only has 150mg. He is so much more active and follows me around most of the time. He takes 1/2 tab a day crushed over his food. He weighs 28 lbs. I think it is an awesome product and am considering giving it to Powder but am waiting until his FD is more stable before starting anything new but he isn't challenged this way. He can jump up and down from chairs etc. Check it out with your vet it has glucosamine chondroitin and msm as well.

Re: 11/19 Maverick

Thanks I will check it out.

I ended up buying accucheck strips. Can't believe I've lost or thrown out a thing of strips. Expensive mistake.
