11/19 Kitty Cat AMPS 179, +4 97, +7 90, PMPS 83, +2.5 50, +4.5 46, +6 53

Fell asleep without an alarm so I got a +4.5 and he's at 46. Gave 2tsp HC 20%. I will try a skinny 2.5u tomorrow morning (2.9mm down from 3.0mm)
 
I think it’s a little early in his journey to try 3 drops in the 40’s. I would rather see you feed a little higher carbs when he’s that low early n the cycle to keep him surfing and prevent a drop under 50. He came back up really fast.

It means that you would not reduce until she drops into the 40’s three times or once if under 40. It’s what people do for cats that are diabetic over a year. Some start earlier if their cat doesn’t hold reductions but for a newly diabetic I feel it’s too aggressive. I would feed a little higher carbs when approaching 50 , especially if early in the cycle. You can see what others think.

Thank you for explaining! I know you're talking about waiting to drop 3x before reducing. But I do just want to make note that he's been on this 2.5 dose 3 separate times. The 2.8mm wasn't doing it and 3mm seems to be too much so I'm trying 2.9mm starting today and will hope for the best!
I probably could've prevented him going below 50 last night if I fed the HC sooner.
