I'm late posting because I worked with Ava today and now I'm headed to my job. AMBG over 100 for the 2nd straight day. I'm wondering if it's because he went 8 hours without eating? I just fed him 3oz of LC. Ava will get a PMBG at 8pm.

Hope everyone is having a great day

Dear JuJu,

Could we please set up an appointment for you to meet with Mikey and Webster? I think they need some coaching from you. I will pay you in catnip toys and low carb food. I'm sure Mike would contribute too. Let me know what would be convenient for you. Just make it soon, please, before Mikey and Webster have alcoholic parents. Thank you!

 JuJu, the sugarcat remission coach!

You know, we are extremely thankful that we got to bring JuJu home. He was battling two life threatening conditions and we nearly lost him. We had no qualms about having to give him insulin, potentially for life. Granted, the first two weeks were extremely stressful and exhausting. However, with the support of the wonderful FDMB members and learning a bit more with each day, we became confident and comfortable. The low numbers will put you on edge but if it's on a low dose then that could mean kitty is getting close to remission.

RB has similar reactions as JuJu to the low doses. I really think you're close, Mary. Just breathe and keep pushing forward. I may be wrong but I think the best we can do by playing our part is 49% of the equation. The other 51% is luck. Despite what we and JuJu have been through, we feel lucky.

I believe you and Don both work days, so it may not be possible but JuJu's feeding schedule was PS/+2/+4/+6 when he was receiving insulin. Despite the fact the vet was adamant about feeding JuJu only twice a day (PS), we kept to that schedule because we felt it worked well for him.

PS- Bourbon does help ;-)

A day late but Happy SIX!!!!
