Happy weekend all! We’re getting ready to head out of town tomorrow. Have had vast amounts of drama with pet sitters, but have somebody coming at noon today who says they are experienced with insulin pokes. Planning on 0.5U vacation dose.

The guy that came is a very well known (and *highly* recommended) dog walker and pet sitter in our neighborhood. He seemed very knowledgeable about diabetic pets (volunteered that he needed to come as close to every 12 hours as possible without being told, was familiar with giving shots in the scruff, which is where we give injections anywho), and was very chill.

Faraday, however, hid under the bed and then peed on me when I attempted to bring him to meet the sitter. Blech. FX he’s hungry enough to make nice tomorrow evening when the pet sitter comes!!

Great news for the sitter, not so great for Faraday Why do cats always need to be so dramatic?!
Do you think he will let the sitter bribe him with super special treats?
Chewie also belongs to the drama club, our sitter in Portland always had to feed her under the bed... sigh.

I'm hoping he comes around! He was totally uninterested in treats when I was trying to bribe him to come out, so I don't know. Previous sitters have all been ladies, so maybe he was just intimidated by a guy for once!
