Yes, these bounce cycles provide rest for the both of us and maybe healing for his ear flaps. I sometimes put antibiotic ointment on them but I don't really notice a difference between when I treat them and when I don't. If this bounce cycle is similar to the one from 11/14, he may break it by the end of tonight's cycle, which means limited sleep.

I keep telling myself I’ll do a test with coconut oil on one ear, and peroxide on the other, but I can never remember to do it in the moment :D

Be careful with the antibiotic ointment i.e. neosporin, etc. It can make cats sick. Yes, they can't lick their ears but they use their paws to rub their ears and then they lick their paws. Coconut oil was suggested to me on this site.
 
I used Neosporin in the beginning until someone brought this to my attention. And, then a lot of people mentioned that it is not good to put on their cats ears. Coconut oil is not cheap but a better alternative to them getting sick.
