We are getting used to Lantus and this is Mo's third day on it. Since we are new to Lantus we are trying not shoot below 200..so far this is messing up the time between shots. His AMPS was 125 and then after eating it was only 137. It is now an hour past his shot time and if I wait for it to get to 200 it may be a while. I don't want to mess up his insulin depot either...any thoughts?
** I just checked at 830am and he is now at 164. He was at 137 at 8am. I ended up giving him his dose at 830 since his numbers were rising even though he wasn't at 200 yet.
