11/18 Acro Snuggie Update - newly Dx UTI

Hi all, thank you for the dosing advice the last few times! I think I may have found out the issue -

he had a routine appt for blood work today for his CKD, but at the last minute I asked them to do a cysto and urinalysis. My brain has been too busy with the acro and my own health that it didn’t even THINK the high BGs were due to infection since he hadn’t been displaying symptoms…

well it turns out he has a pretty bad UTI! We are starting him on Orbax until the culture and sensitivity results are back, since that’s worked in the past: I had also gotten pretty lax about giving him his D-mannose in the last month or so, so I’ll be starting that up again.

I’ll keep a closer eye on his BGs now with this news.

So; no questions, just an a-ha moment with the UTI Dx. Hope you and your kitties are all doing well!

Sorry to hear this but it makes his rose in bg make sense. I hope orbax is the right antibiotic and gets rid of the nasty uti quickly.
