Good Wednesday Morning All,

It is Wed right? Feels like friday all ready. All is good here, such a boring life we live LOL. Esmeralda greeted me this morning in bed w/her Essi style "lays on me to wake me up" (although I was already awake, shhhh we wont tell her). Last night when DH and I got home from dinner, we found Essi on the top of the couch, she jumped up there? NICE Essi!! However, if she can get up there, its a matter of time before she can make it up on the bar counter for the "Kibbles/Dry Food". I am having a heck of time, getting Zoe off of the Kibbles/Dryfood. I purchased a couple of small cans of Merrick/Oceanbreaze, she turned her nose up at it last night; actually so did Ess, but Tigger gobbled it up, he eats anything, hes our 16lb red headed moose/hes a regular mother hen, and fetches, how can I refuse that lol. Someone in our old neighborhood moved and left him, I took him in.....

Well enough of my ramblings this morning, I wish everyone a GREAT Wedneday, Green & Blue numbers galore for EVERYONE!!!!!!

That's a nice low blue for Essi this morning...hmmmmm....wonder what she has planned for today? More greens I betcha!

Have you ever tried shaving freeze dried chicken on top of the food to entice them? I use the Pure Bites (I order it online but it is available in some pet food stores) A lot of kitties LOVE it. of course, my two demand it on top of each and every meal now... sigh....but it is a good food for them. One ingredient=chicken. It might encourage Zoe to eat the canned.
And yes, I agree that it might not be too long till Esse manages the counter. They will do anything to get that carbo stuff!!!
So while it is nice that she was on to of the couch..it is also not so nice! :lol:

very nice amps for essi today! I hope she continues this nice run of numbers for you ... Sorry you are having such a tough time converting your kitty over to wet .. I know that mocha really likes those freeze dried chicken treats pat mentioned .. anyways, have a great day guys!

Great AMPS for Essi...she's doing superb!!! Too bad she can't convince her civvie sister to keep out of the dry food!! I also use the freeze dried chicken treats...great bribery on stubborn days but I give them to Gracie when she's still a little hungry but has had all her portions for the day. I have to regulate how much she eats or she will get a little chubby...even on wet food and even with as much as she plays.

So sweet these cuddling cats!!! I have a difficult time sleeping if she's not with me. I love the photo of the day...Gracie will do that to us if she has other ideas about being held...we get the gentle "talkin' to the paw" to the forehead :lol: :lol:

Good morning Danette! Beautiful numbers! I know it's green and a drop, but not a huge drop....you're doing great! Feeling ok with it?

Wonderful to hear Essi is jumping more, even though it will make the dry food juggling more difficult. I have the same issue, one civie who is very picky and won't entirely give up the dry food. I actually put the bowl on top of our tall entertainment center...the things we have to do, huh? :lol: Shaving the FD chicken on top of the food is a great idea, parmesan cheese is another one that sometimes works. Sometimes you just need to try 50 different kinds of food (seems like it anyway!) to find something they like. Good luck with it!

Ah!! Dry food is a drug… grr_red It’s the highlight of Frip’s day (he still gets 2 tbs before bed)… Meow… Meow… Meow... and lots of puuuurrrs and leg strokes for momma …

I know I have to remove that someday but I will have 2 very depressed kitties… grumpy_cat I feed my civvie save thing (no jealous kitty)… They used to eat only dry…

Morning Danette - sweet of you to take Tigger in, that was sure lucky on his part, he landed in a great home and I'm sure he knows it!

PureBites - we gets ours at Petco in the dog treat section - nothing in it but freeze-dried chicken breast. I used to crumble it over food when the wrecking crew was making the transition to wet food but it backfired on me and they only would eat if the chicken dust was there - oops. Then I had to wean them off dry and off the chicken dust. now I give a bite of it to Shadow as a test treat - she wasn't very cooperative about testing when we first started.

these little monsters have such good sniffers, they must always be aware where that dry food is cause they sure work hard to seek it out. I have one lone civvie hold-out, still worry he's not eating enough and I went so far as to buy a bag of EVO but I haven't opened it and I keep it stashed in the garage freezer so they can't smell it. emergency back-up.

It's a tough transistion for them, kitty crack rehab, and the threat of relapse is always present - just like any addict. :lol:

Hey Laurie,

I am going bonkers here, I cant find Mr Tinkles Condo today? I looked earlier and just right now, hmmmm, am I not seeing it? And is everything ok? U R BEING QUIET TODAY!!

I think Essi's drop from +2 to +3, was due to I didnt feed her +1 (bad bad bad, someone ground me to my bedroom ;-) ) Trying to balance June's bank statement, Im just a bit behind w/the business statements....

Im going to try to get to Petco today, my internet order for Merrick Cowboy Cookout isnt here yet UGH, Petco I believe has Merrick, and the Purebite treats.

I haven't gotten his condo done yet....crazy day today! I had no power this morning, high winds so it's been going off and on...sheesh! My DD needed something at school, so I got interrupted once I got on the computer, you know how it goes I'm sure! :roll:

What a gorgeous day for Essi today. On the counters: our baby boy, Tobey, is now big enough to start getting on counters and we gave up a long time ago on keeping them off (altho we do not allow them on the counter where the stovetop is). So we've decided our whole world is now going to be even more topsy turvy...he's like a baby who has just learned to walk and climb. And he can't quite get to the top so he jumps, grabs on with his front paws, and painstakingly pulls himself up. It's very adorable. Baby steps ESSI!!
