Last night, Millie was 159@+4, then 318@+11. Bounce? Makes me wonder how low she went during those 7 hours. Also, every fall my crew goes through their annual fall herpes recurrence, and they all eventually sneeze, and their eyes run, for a week or so. She started sneezing yesterday. Would that make her BG jump, like stress or a UTI? Everything has been the same, so far this week...food/water consumed, etc...

Maybe she is bouncing from the 143 the night before last. And yes, any kind if infection, inflammation, pain etc can raise BG.

I wouldn’t think a 143 would trigger a bounce but she could have gone lower or the inflammation. I hope all feel better soon.

Yikes! What the heck is going on here? The only think I can think of is that, during the day, she gets her first snack 2 1/2 hours after her breakfast. In the evening, because of the way the timer on the auto feeder works, she doesn't get a snack until 4 1/2 hours after her dinner. She cleaned up her dinner pretty quickly tonight then went that long without grazing. I think I will stay up and take it at +5, 30 minutes after her snack. She hasn't been sneezing as much today so maybe that has something to do with it, too.

You want to feed a snack at +2 in both cycles. Lantus typically onsets around then and some food on board will slow down any drops.

Okay, good to know. I had no idea. Will reset the morning feeder to start 1/2 hour earlier and hand feed a snack at +2 in the evening. Thank you. Such a learning curve.
