So far Sid is being a very good boy about testing. Actually it is easier to test than do the shot. Last night's +6 is a little low for my comfort so I dropped his dose this am to a smidge over 1. Im really hoping to get him regulated soon so I can stop worrying.

Hi guys .. don't believe I've ever been in Sid's condo before, so welcome from us! We always had an easier time with testing then with giving insulin, mocha really resisted that! Hope you guys have a great day!

That is interesting that you are having the same experience with Mocha - in that the testing is easier. With Jake, he was so easy to handle that I could give him his shot while he was eating dinner and he never even flinched. Sid tries to jump away as soon as he senses the needle is near his skin but it is getting a little better. I just have to compromise and give him the injection nearer his shoulders though I prefer to give the shot in the abdomen. Maybe we will get there some day. I just hope I can get him regulated soon. The bouncing drives me crazy. And, I do have to say that I am really glad I did not follow my vet's advice. She said to give him 1.5 and I just thought that was too much for a 6.5 cat. I've been giving him about >1.25 and I feel if he'd had more, last night's +6 would have been much less than 82.
