Good Morning LL!!
(Fuel for another DGS adventure, the jets are running low this morning! :? ), and Happy Furday!
LL beans! It is I, Mannie, kitteh barista! For today I proudly offer triple shot Cappuccinos with extra foam, made from beans from High in the mountains of Jamiaca. Yesterday was..... YELLOW day in Mannieland. AND another day of "let's see how many fuds cans I get the bean to open before I actually eat one" day.    I hate it when he does that!  FF CHicken and Tuna finally won out.... Good thing that Elsa will eat all those opened cans...   It was a fairly even and mellow cycle for Mannie. I hope he will break this soon, and head down and not up. One never knows when we get these flat yellows - it could go either way. Mannie, I vote for Blue and greens, OK? ....Tonight we start Mannie's heart meds: Plavix: 1/4 tablet once a day. Paws crossed he handles it well, no side affects. Lubs ya big guy! cat_pet_icon
All is well in MannieLand.
Yesterday morning I thought that I'd give Mannie a break and let him go outside for a few before DGS arrived on the scene. So opened the door, called him over, showed his a golden opportunity. He took one look out the door, turned to me with that look of "seriously? you're kidding right? You want me to go out in THAT?" well.... yes. But I will admit it was so foggy out there and cold ad damp and dark, that well no wonder he thought I'd lost the last of my marbles.  The nanners won out instead. DGS arrived shortly after and amnnie was greeted with the new "Hi Man-NIE!" and a smile and a pet or two. They shared a few minutes before Nicholas went to play, and Mannie went to his nanner pile. DGS came to check on him just before we headed on out, make sure the nanners were all as they should be. As we went to the door, Nicholas said to him "bye Man-NIE!", and waved. It was so cute.
This morning we had a great test, feed and shoot and clean plate club , purrs and a lots of cuddles. AND (!!!!) he has not returned to the auto feeder!!!! Normalcy in MannieLand.
Have a great day everyone. I am back on DGS duty today through Friday. It will be a swim day for Nicholas, and then hopefully we can find a nice outdoor spot, maybe the beach today if it is not too cold, or wet. He still loves the rivers, so I hope to be able to get to one. I will try and get to condos when I can, but probably not until late in the evening. There is just no time when he is here.. I will miss you guys - and your furkids. Think blue think green kitties!
Hey everybody! What's up? Anybody got any sun??? I so want sun! You guys wanna hang out in the treehouse for a bit? Then visit Moonie again? and TESS! She's got a dental!! We got to see Tess too. How about maybe after all that we hang out at Rusty's for a bit: radiators... hot tuna toddies... talk... fleece... Let me know - I am ready for anything! ~~ Mannie
And completely OT: Here are some photos from DGS's and my adventures yesterday: A waterfall and creek/river. What a great day it was. Nicholas and I had a great time at whatcom falls, near Bellingham. I chose Bellingham since it was predicted sun by 10 AM, temps in the 48/50 range. everywhere else was partial clouds and maybe 40. soooo.. with the best laid plans in hand off we go. LOL: get up there and it is 100% fog, and the reader board near there said 35. HAHA: so much for sun. fog stuck with us until we left at 1. of course that is when it broke out. oh well, truly no matter - the falls were great in all that fog. Little guy loved it. though it was a challenge to keep him warm and dry. We did ok though. he really had the best time today. They have a fish hatchery there on the edge of the park: rainbow trouts. These fish today were extremely active: ripples on the water, several racing around on the surface, even more jumping all over the place. I thought Nicholas was going to come unglued - he was so excited. I tried to get video of it, but no way... those fish know when the camera is on.LOL. anyways - that was a real treat for him, and he remembered it too from the last time we went. Today he was tour director.. I've included the FaceBook links for anyone that wants to see all the photos, and the videos: Whatcom Falls
