WCR: All is good. She got herself more water, which is always an excellent sign. I always give her water with her meals, and if she wants more she knows where the waterbowl is. I decided to give her an AMPS +2 to see what's going on as she was rather chatty. Good thing. Am keeping watch this a.m.
Yesterday, we spent from about 5:15 p.m. until almost midnight rearranging our office, and my desk came in (purchased from Amazon.com) yesterday, despite them saying that it wouldn't arrived until between November 27, and December 5th. So, I went from a 5' long desk, to a less than 4' long one. This office can't really handle a large desk. The room itself isn't that big.
On another note... My wonderful DH has FINALLY quit smoking today!!!!! Last night, he told me that he needed to stay up 2 more hours as he had 2 more cigarettes to smoke before going to bed. He also told me that that was it. No more cigarettes. 2 weeks ago on Saturday, he told me that the carton would be the last one. He has admitted to me that he would smoke a carton in 6 days. He has finally realized, despite having a battle with himself for so long, that he needs to get healthy again, and he doesn't want to end up like his mom... Dead at 64. We still visit her grave, which is only about 2 miles down the road from us. I don't want to be burying him at an early age, either. I have kept telling him that I'm extremely proud of him. I still am. I hope and pray that he doesn't go off the wagon. He really needs to keep on track of this. A lot of factors made him realize that he needed to do this. Health, he doesn't want to die at a young age, our finances, including the fact that we were hit with a huge rise in our health insurance, and we can start putting away money back into our savings account. This has been a long time coming. Please keep him in your prayers. I have never been a smoker, and I honestly don't know what a smoker goes through when trying to quit.
