Day before yesterday

Good morning,

Heartfelt condolences to Joy, Ravan and Alice for the loss of their little Peggy Sue, wishing them comfort at this very sad time. :bighug:

This was a poem sent to us in a card from the critical care hospital after our beloved malamute Chelsea died of cancer. I think it rings true for all of us.

“We who choose to surround ourselves
with lives even more temporary than our
own, live within a fragile circle;
easily and often breached.
Unable to accept its awful gaps,
we would still live no other way.
We cherish memory as the only
certain immortality, never fully
understanding the necessary plan.”
Irving Townsend

Have a healthy safe day everyone, give extra hugs to all your furbabies. :bighug:

Love that and so true

What a beautiful poem. Reminds me of a short version of the "story" The Loving Ones. Nice start for Leo...I hope he surfs safely for you today. Have a wonderful day Sonia! Stay warm.

What beautiful words....
Leo is looking great. Very nice day for him, green green and green. Wish Yoyo would have those cycles in the day time like Leo. If you think of it, please tell Leo to have a talk with Yoyo, maybe he'll listen to him better and let me sleep at night.

Thanks Sonia
We are ok thanks. We had a worrying day a couple of days ago and were all ready to evacuate if needed, but things are quieter now although one of the fires surrounding Sydney just north of us has flared up and moving fast again this afternoon. The air is full of smoke again.
They have been terrible. So much loss of native life and stock.
We are also suffering a bad drought. The poor farmers just can’t win.
Thanks for thinking of us.
