Have had a busy day today... some of you might remember that we lost Kazi's brother O'Malley back in August to cancer. My family decided they were ready for another kitty so after a couple of weeks of looking we brought home Jaspurr yesterday morning. He is 8 weeks of crazy, bold kitten and my brother is smitten with him. I know losing O'Malley was especially hard for him - he was very much HIS cat (and O'Malley adored him and barely gave the rest of us peons a second glance) So it is nice to see him happy. I will try to get some good pictures of him soon - but this is him! http://www.petfinder.com/petdetail/17775765
Kazi is not impressed with us for bringing him home and the Princess does not like sharing my attention, but she is doing very well with him. There is some hissing...but she for the most part more interested in watching him from a distance than hiding or acting aggressively. I'm sure she'll be mothering him by this time next week once they feel each other out.
ETA: Forgot to finish my condo yesterday. No- Kazi isn't getting a +9 snack at this point. I was going to order an auto feeder and try it to see what happened with her numbers and then she got sick. I've cleaned myself out with the vet bills this month...but will hopefully be able to pick one up next month and see if it brings her down a bit. At this point I am just concentrating on getting her healthy...hopefully we get her results back by Weds this week and start on another AB that will knock out this infection she is fighting.
