Sending out many more condolences to Pat&Steve and Lu-Ann. Also healing vines to all who are ailing today. Fingers crossed for Mikey and JuJu.
After our PJ party, Gracie, Tobey, and me decided a btb was in order. As soon as my head hit the pillow, they were both up on the bed again and Gracie laid down on Mike's pillow to my left, Tobey on my extra pillow to my right. And then we all went into I-) I-) I-) land. When the alarm went off before +2, Gracie gave a tiny meow so I rolled towards her and scratched her chin and back and then rolled towards Tobes to give him equal attention. From behind me, I hear a bit louder meow. I rolled back over and she had inched towards me. More love, turn back to Tobes...scratch and then meow from behind. Roll back....she's even closer. Scratch scratch. Back to Tobes...one half of a scratch and meow and she's standing on top of me    Talk about a Princess wanting all the attention
No Lupita Friday today. Lupita is here but it is a very sad day today. Yesterday morning when she left the house for work, her sweet dog, Cooper, who is only 4, was fine. She had a long day yesterday and when she got home late, he had been vomiting all day and was lethargic. She rushed him to the ER (the same speciality clinic where Gracie goes) and he was extremely dehydrated and his heart rate was astronomical. They took his blood and he was so dehydrated, they could barely get any in the syringe. They x-rayed and found he had a massive obstruction. By this time, Lupita's daughter had driven down from Phx and the whole family was together and they told the vet to do what it took to save him. Sadly, the vet, a critical care specialist, felt he was not strong enough to withstand surgery and that she did not feel he could be saved. So at 3 a.m., they helped him cross. Lupita is devastated and we are devastated for her. Cooper is an inside dog and she cannot figure out what he could have ingested to cause such an obstruction but I told her that it could also have been an intestinal tumor perhaps. I told her she should go home but she wants to work. So sad......
I'm working on my performance evaluation for work today. My last one!!!! Retirement is set for July 31, 2015!!!!
