Sending out many more condolences to Pat&Steve and Lu-Ann. Also healing vines to all who are ailing today. Fingers crossed for Mikey and JuJu.

After our PJ party, Gracie, Tobey, and me decided a btb was in order. As soon as my head hit the pillow, they were both up on the bed again and Gracie laid down on Mike's pillow to my left, Tobey on my extra pillow to my right. And then we all went into I-) I-) I-) land. When the alarm went off before +2, Gracie gave a tiny meow so I rolled towards her and scratched her chin and back and then rolled towards Tobes to give him equal attention. From behind me, I hear a bit louder meow. I rolled back over and she had inched towards me. More love, turn back to Tobes...scratch and then meow from behind. Roll back....she's even closer. Scratch scratch. Back to Tobes...one half of a scratch and meow and she's standing on top of me    Talk about a Princess wanting all the attention

No Lupita Friday today. Lupita is here but it is a very sad day today. Yesterday morning when she left the house for work, her sweet dog, Cooper, who is only 4, was fine. She had a long day yesterday and when she got home late, he had been vomiting all day and was lethargic. She rushed him to the ER (the same speciality clinic where Gracie goes) and he was extremely dehydrated and his heart rate was astronomical. They took his blood and he was so dehydrated, they could barely get any in the syringe. They x-rayed and found he had a massive obstruction. By this time, Lupita's daughter had driven down from Phx and the whole family was together and they told the vet to do what it took to save him. Sadly, the vet, a critical care specialist, felt he was not strong enough to withstand surgery and that she did not feel he could be saved. So at 3 a.m., they helped him cross. Lupita is devastated and we are devastated for her. Cooper is an inside dog and she cannot figure out what he could have ingested to cause such an obstruction but I told her that it could also have been an intestinal tumor perhaps. I told her she should go home but she wants to work. So sad......

I'm working on my performance evaluation for work today. My last one!!!! Retirement is set for July 31, 2015!!!!

So sad. My condolences to Lupita. We lost a young toy minature poodle when I was a kid. They said something irritated the linings of his intestines. There weren't any ERs for pets then and the vet told my parents to withhold food and water. The poor boy got dehydrated and we lost him. I bet Lupita's dog had a tumor. So sad.

I'm so sorry to hear about Cooper. That is so sad. Sending prayers to Lupita and her family.

How sweet on the btb with the kitties.

I'm so sorry Lupita had to let Cooper go. 4yrs old is waaaay too soon. I hope he comes to visit her soon. Gratz on the light at the end of the tunnel. Sounds like you have worked hard and it's time to put the ol' feet up and take a break! Gracie has a nice slide going on there, today. Hope she sees green tonight! But not too green, ok Gracie?

Love the Princess demanding her due. Sorry, Tobes, but you are outranked. Don't worry, though. Mama and Daddy love you lots!

Sending lots of hugs and sympathy to Lupita. What a very sad story. Please tell her LL grieves with her. :YMHUG: :YMHUG: :YMHUG:

Retirement, already? How nice for you! Congrats!

thank you all for your sweet thoughts for Lupita. I know it means alot to her. she is really torn up, naturally.

gracie had a slide and then stopped but that's ok. we are both tired so if she is flat blue tonight, we can get a little more sleep.

Performance eval done. I kinda wondered why I even had to do one

Marje, Please tell Lupita how sad we are that Cooper is at the Bridge. Such a young dog. I know how she must miss him. And I know that our GAs and all of the GA dogs at the Bridge are giving him a loving welcome.

Retirement is great. But there isn't enough time to do what you want to do! I wonder why that is?

Thanks for your efforts with the Terumo saga.

Hugs and scritches,

Ella & Rusty

Marje,
The next time you see Lupita, please give her a hug from me? She is in my thoughts and prayers.
Carl

thank you, Ella and Carl. I will be sure and tell her and give her another big hug. I'm sure she thought I was hovering today.

Tell her you're the crazy cat momma of a diabetic cat. Hovering is just a part of the job ;-)

Marje, so sad for Lupita's loss of Cooper....sending prayers and hugs for them. Way too young!

It must be so sweet thinking about next July and beginning a new chapter of your life...congrats on pending retirement!!!
Performance Evals are always so interesting to do....I imagine doing your last one was kind of bitter sweet.

Gracie and Tobey competing for your scratches in bed was so cute ...the princess always wins out
