Yesterday

Hi Everyone,
What awful weather we have today (rain and wind; cold). It is so unpleasant that we didn't even get in our walk to the post office, much less any other walking we would normally do. Rusty ventured outdoors for about 20 seconds!
His numbers are looking good today. At lunch I tried him on a food that he didn't like the last time he had it (Dave's 95% turkey and turkey liver). Today he gobbled it up (pun intended). I always wondered why he liked the Dave's 95% chicken and chicken liver but not the turkey. I guess it was just one of those days.

Lots of odds and ends to do today. Sending vines to all kitties and beans in need.

Rusty doesn't go for walks!! Edward (my DH) and I do. Rusty goes outside in the garden and waits for chipmunks to cross his path.

Nice numbers for Rusty today. I'm glad he ate the food. Kitties can be so silly about their food. Yuck on the weather.

i know what you mean about not understanding or being able to predict which can they will eat today. If only they could point at one.

Thanks for your ideas on my meter issues, Ella. I have two confirm meters and one arkray. This morning used the Arkray as usual. Got the dodgy numbers. Tried the Confirm, pulling a strip from the Relion strip container that I bought at a WalMart. The strip. An Arkray! Guess I'll just double check any odd readings!

@pollydoodle : Looks like I have a strip issue this evening, too. I don't think it was a fur shot. Maybe onset hasn't started yet. I didn't re-test because I don't like to poke Rusty's ear unnecessarily. We'll see what tomorrow brings.

It's that time of year when it would be nice to split the weather again, 38 here today - Celsius!

When I've had a strip error I've often been able to get more blood from the same poke. I always approach with two strips in hand just in case, that way I can be pretty sure it won't happen. Any time I just have one at the ready I seem to get an E3
