Yesterday
Morning LL! I tested the Princess while she was curled up on the guest bed this morning. She came out to eat and then proceeded to hide by the base of the dining room table. Once I managed to get under there, she didn't run or anything and I was able to pick her up. It's as if she is making a statement each time. "I do NOT want that stuff so I will make you work for it if you really want to shoot me with it". I think she is basically "trusting my judgment" but she wants to make sure that I am not just blinding giving her insulin and that I am really, really thinking about what I am doing. Never a dull moment with Raja! 4 Ps yesterday but so far, only 3 today for her.

I remember often about how I was giving her 3.0 units that first 5 days she was on Vetsulin!!! I was following the doctor's orders folks! That kind of experience is not forgotten by our feline furbabies... But, that was before I found this forum and before I was home testing! I am thankful ~very thankful that I didn't loose her during those 5 days..... When I began home testing, Raja never even saw 1.0 unit much less 3!!!!! So you see why she is hesitant to be thrilled about me with a syringe... Thank you all once again and always for the help you have given me... :YMHUG:

Raja is trying to be civilized about the whole thing, after all she IS the Princess--How dare you try to shoot her!!
She really has been pretty good these days--Not Hiding like in deep dark places like in the beginning!
Her numbers are looking fantastic! Come on girl give us a reason for a PARTY!!! Hugs & Happy Caturday! :mrgreen:

Happy Caturday Pat.

She's just playing hard to get....and probably has some mixed feelings regarding the insulin.....I want it to feel better, I don't want to get stuck.....I want to feel better, I don't want to get stuck.

Come on Raja.....We are all pullin for ya!!!!!

She spends a lot of time on the guest bed. I was able to test and shoot her right on the bed. No running, no hiding. It was actually a wonderful day for the two of us. :mrgreen:
My other sister is coming one day this week for a few days. She is the one who unbeknownst to me....lifted Raja up by holding her under her arms...in front of a mirror the last time she was here. I was in the kitchen when I heard the piercing, growling scream. I turned and my mouth hit the floor! Cathy was standing over the dining room table and holding Raja up, her chubby little body dangling down!!!
It took a nano second, but I can still see it in my mind. How instantaneously Raja screamed/growled and flew out of her arms, onto the table and away. I was in shock!!! I know Raja was in shock!! She was used to holding Shadow in her lap and for some ridiculous reason, she thought she could just hold Raja like that.... OMG! ohmygod_smile
ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND?
I think I might have a challenging time when she is staying here...what do you all think?

I hope Raja settles into the routine again and stops having you crawl around the floor. Hopefully she will return to the Falls shortly and that will be the end of it.

I know what you mean about dosage. Tuffy was up to 10u. OMG. This place is the best and I'm grateful everyday for the guidance we received here.

Pami is doing better but she is now sifting her meds out of her grain. Could not give them tonight because I was unable to tell how much was left in her feed tub. They really are something, animals in general. Keep us on our toes.

I haven't decided if I playing as the barn turns or on a merry go round things will level out soon though. Yes, the cooler weather is great although 41 and 43 last week were a little chilly after 90s. Wish I could feed the horses at 9 instead of 7. Would be warmer.
