Yesterday, good day cycle, then mommabean gave a partial furshot in the rush to get out to a meeting.

I hadn't noticed the fur shot at the time, but when I went to kiss Neko good night, that darn smell was there. Oh well, I got some sleep out of it and saved a strip today.

After breffs, Neko was very happy and purry. As I finished up with my shower she came into the room and exposed her belly for rubs and loud rumbly purrs. I got a few licks too, and nibbles. :roll: I managed to move my toes just in time. :lol: One of Neko's pre FD tricks was giving the calves some licks and nibbles after the shower. The nibbles are ticklish, not hard bites. After that, she's spent most of the day in the solarium - another cold but sunny one here.

Late condo again - I seem to be saying that a lot. Today I drove DM and DA to hair appointments, hearing aid place and shopping. My DM isn't quite up to doing the entire drive but met me on this side of the island so I didn't have to do the ferry each way. It's been 4 months since DM broke her pelvis and first chance to get her hair cut.

Hi Wendy

Remi used to do that to me after the shower too pre diagnosis. Nowadays I can't get him to even come into the shower room and he won't go into the kitchen either. I hope one day he will do as he used to sit waiting for me to come out of the shower every morning.

Flat yellow cat tonight. I don't think it means anything other than depot building up again. I hope she shows some recovery soon. Neko doesn't mind the low yellows and her fur is feeling better than it does in high yellows.

@Sarah, Carla, Ella - I was surprised to see Neko come greet me after the shower, but Otto had just delivered food or else she might have been hanging out there. :lol: This is the part I hate about fur shots, the waiting. Ugh, oh well, a good day for errands. DM was glad to get out today and happy to help get her older sister out too. They live half way up a one lane dirt road beside the woods - you need to drive to do anything, especially with both in their 90's. This was the first time DM has driven off island in 4 months too. Good for her independence.

Oh nuts on the furshot!! But I know she will recover quickly and I bet it felt good to get the extra sleep! I hope your DM and DA are doing well, especially DM! I admire you so much, you are such a devoted daughter! You must really have had your hands full with both DM and DA, I am guessing they are both using walkers? But I bet that felt good to get her hair done, that's my mom's favorite activity too!

Flat yellow, Neko? Sounds familiar - that's been the predominant color around here lately! Maybe now that you have plenty of jus in you you'll slide down into blue for a while.

It's great that your DM and DA are feeling well enough for a day out and about. Getting one's hair done is always a pick-me-up! I adore being shampooed. If I win the lottery, I'm having someone come to the house and shampoo me twice a week!

It really does comfort me when a veteran gives a fur shot - my DH feels better when I tell him about one, too. So nice to know we are not alone!

@Ruth - no walkers, DA uses a cane, but I still stopped and let them off near the entrances and moved the car to park. Getting the hair done has always been a highlight of their week, though it's going to be a few weeks until the next one. Extra sleep was good.

@Tricia - Paws crossed for gentle slides for blue for both of ours tonight. Yellow is a little too restful for me. You're welcome on the fur shot public service announcement. :lol: :lol:

I know what you mean about the extra sleep. You welcome it on the one hand but feel bad for the kitties on the other. Neko at least only gets to yellow and no higher, thank goodness. Message for Neko. Enjoy the extra sleep. Neko, blue is fine for sleep as well if you want to give your mama a break.
