Yesterday's condo

Good morning LL!!

Don't have a lot of time this morning so will add more later. Today's Mom's birthday and I am hoping to cheer her up some (although I'm not sure how successful I'll be)

China's doing great, but now that she's eating better, I'm out of cat food, so it's off to the store! If mom's doing OK overnight tonight, I'll probably head home tomorrow...I'm sure the civvies miss me too and I know I've got several days worth of evil looks coming for "abandoning" them :-D

Well, I'm happy with China's numbers today, especially considering the reduction!! :mrgreen: BUT

I'm furious with the hospital!! They are planning on releasing Mom tomorrow...and today, for the first time since surgery, she was requiring 2 units of whole blood, she still has a drain, and is so weak, that just eating a few bites wears her out. Her hands are still so swollen she can't hold a spoon or fork, and she isn't eating enough to keep a bird alive. For lunch today, she had 2 bite size pieces of chicken, 4 green beans and a half a strawberry....and that was ALL...and she was so tired after "eating" she could barely keep her eyes open.

I'll be at the hospital first thing in the morning to talk to her doctors. It's CRAZY that they're even considering discharging her tomorrow!!

Hi Chris - sorry you had such a frustrating day with the hospital. Sometimes there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to when they discharge patients. It's good you're there to advocate for your mom.

Nice to see that China is having such nice numbers tonight & hope you're all able to go home soon.

Hi Chris,

I'm so sorry your Mom's doctors are wanting to discharge her before she's ready. I hope you are able to reason with them & she can remain there safely until she's more ready to come home. I also hope she had a good birthday and enjoyed herself -

China is being an incredible trooper with these numbers, what a good kitty!

Sending lots of healing vines and calming vines, & everything will work out ok vines for you, your Mom, & China.
