11/13 B the C PMPS:178 +6:391 home for the night

B the C is home for the night again -- and looking quite good! Eating well and pretty energetic, all things considered.

Her BG really spiked last night, so more fast-acting for her today. Now we're trying her on 1 unit...hopefully that keeps her in the blues and greens, but not too far down. Will be keeping a very close eye on things.

Apparently at the vet she's been eating random foods, in addiiton to a/d...??? This is very odd for her, but if she dips too low I have some fancy feast and other "adult" Science Diet food I might try to see if she'll eat it. Corn syrup on the side, always, just in case!

Tonight at home, then one more day at the vet and we think she might be good. Vet thinks her anaemia may also improve after this chaos passes. Fingers crossed!

Hi Kotek, Glad B is home and eating well and energetic, all positive :-D Here is the link to your last condo I think, the dates seem off, today is 12/13? Strange B was getting random food at the vet, did she possibly get some high carb? Perhaps she gave them kitty eyes @-) and they slipped her a little something here and there. Hope one more day at the vet does the trick and she can stay at home.

Ooops! I fixed yesterday's date (edit: and today's!) -- thank you, and thank you for linking...my brain is still not settled very well!

Hard to say what she was eating (some fancy feast, some something I didn't recognize, some a/d, I think?), but her BG seems pretty good, and, honestly, getting her to be a less conservative eater would be helpful in the long run. I think we're all just glad she's eating well on her own! :-D

It's great that she's home and wonderful that she's eating. B's numbers are looking pretty good, as well.

Wonderful news and great numbers! I love hearing how she's eating. I hope she is home to stay soon.

Hmph...numbers apparently didn't want to keep being cooperative. We've jumped to 191 for +4.

As last night, I guess it could be the fast-acting wearing off, in which case the Lantus could still bring her down? or at least keep her even? We'll see what the +6 says.

No more spiking, please! :-x

PS Civilian S the Cat says a big purry hello...she likes to "help" at the computer.
