He snuggled on the bed with me for a bit this morning before I got up. All Ps seem in place.
In the kitchen this morning, he actually jumped up on my chest while I was standing - oops, wasn't expecting that and almost dropped him.

Coached the friend who feeds him & gives insulin on Tuesday nights through the process of testing and got a +5 on Spitzer. If I can get my friend comfortable doing it, he can test _before_ giving insulin.

daytime 12 hours range of variation

taken (-20% to +20%, the approximate error of the meter)
355 (284-426) highest
257 (205.6-308.4) lowest
65 (78.4-117.6) difference

What is your range of variation in a 12 hour cycle?
And, is you cat considered regulated?

excellent work getting a couple of more checks in!
And I see a nice yellow there last nite too, I hope that you can test a little more easily in the evenings, it really does show you what else is happening besides preshot numbers.
by all means, please dont think you have to test as much as some of here (guilty here, lol!) but even just a before bedtime check or a mid cycle check in the day cycle (if you're home) can really help you see how Lantus is working on Spitzer as well as help others to offer their thoughts, and keep him safe with dosing.

yes my cat is regulated, strictly diet controlled now on Wellness 4 to 5 % canned food..., just passed 10 months with no insulin, numbers in the green.
I do random checks on him once a month or if something seems off (antijinx so far so good)
