Yesterday's Condo

a bit high again this morning, but given that I plan to be out for a couple hours a bit later this morning, it works for me. Willie once again was a perfect little alarm clock, gently giving me a heads up it was shot time. what a guy! 1st breffis consumed sleepily, and he's already back snoozing on the bed. Seems like a good plan to me!! :lol: :lol: :lol:

Smart Kitty! And that isn't a bad AMPS! You are so ambitious and prepared! I really should plan food further ahead. You must also have a BIG freezer!

Good start for Willie. Maybe he's planning on some football to bring down his BG? Good for you for all the food prep. It takes a lot of work to eat well.

woo hoo! overslept a bit, but did make it to the gym for a couple of killer classes. Stopped at the store and got some good stuff to make for brunch and am now cuddled up on the couch with the Dubs. Sun just came out, so I think I'll see if he wants to play outside.

I actually have a medium sized chest freezer... I think it is a 5 cu ft. I find it is really useful for keeping things like good chicken on hand, but also for costco purchases (which reminds me.. I need to go there today! :lol: :lol: :lol: ) like frozen pizzas, cheese, etc. I'll also be picking up 50+lbs of venison for Willie when I go to my parents' house for Christmas, so I'm thankful for the freezer that!

Ok..so who is the energizer bunny today!! Nice to see Wee Dub come down and snuggling time sounds great!!!

And who wants to go to Costco on a Saturday? I'm trying to just get myself up and out to get a carton of milk. :lol: :lol:

Hello Christie energizer bunny. It takes me two days (or more) to get done what you get done in half a day! :lol: Nice Willie gave you the time to get out and do things. Thanks for that info on the pressure cooker. I'm going to check around online and stores. Have a nice day.

Shot a few minutes late as I had to make sure I hadn't set the kitchen on fire. Forgot how smoky cooking on cast iron can be! Was so bad, Willie refused to be in the house!! :lol: :lol: :lol: Willie's had his dinner, I'm eating mine (roasted beet and farro salad over greens with goat cheese, roasted zucchini, and a grilled chicken breast), and we're stressing out over the KSU/ATM game that is now in the fourth OT. nailbite_smile nailbite_smile nailbite_smile nailbite_smile

Laundry is going, dishwasher loaded, and I'll be headed to bed early tonight... church in the a.m., hoping to get clothes sorted and put away, and plan to go for a 3-4 mile jog/walk.

Energizer bunny indeed!! Christie, you win! Enjoy your cooking, your food prep., etc. etc. Your soup last night sounded delicious. We finished the gypsy soup (from the Moosewood Cookbook via Jane Brody's "Good Food" cookbook) tonight. Pizza tomorrow night. Unlike you, I don't really enjoy cooking, but I do it. It helps to be mostly vegetarian! When in doubt you can always do a stirfry.

Willie is looking mighty good.

OMG, forgot the funniest part of the day! I was in the kitchen cleaning up and working on dinner and around +11, Willie became insistent upon dinner. I shooed him out for a bit, but he came back in and just laid into me with a big, prolonged meow fest! I told him that it was NOT, in fact, dinner time, that he would have to wait, and that I suggest he find something to go amuse himself. He totally called me a bad word and sauntered into the dining room!! I went after him and said "Um, EXCUSE ME, young man... you did NOT just sass me like that!!" He totally looked guilty and hightailed it into the bedroom, to which I replied, "Yeah. That's what I THOUGHT!! Not lookin' so tough now!!!"

All is now forgiven, with Willie snoozing next to me in bed. :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

I just saw your post on Champ's condo. Thank you so much for mentioning that!! I can't believe I never thought of that!! Next batch...cooked liver!! Do you think I should nuke his food with this batch as a precaution?
