Wow, that was a bit of an unexpected drop - into great territory. This would have probably been an instance where I might have backed off to max 1.0u [I probably would have even chickened out a little more than that - maybe even .8u]. Hopefully you will be around to test today.
Do you have any observations that may coincide with the drop? Was she easting less during the day or night yesterday? I would find that with H when his eating would slow down it would tend to effect the following curve - like it would take a cycle and a half for it to really show up.
OK. Keep a sharp eye on things today. What time was shot time this morning? Do not let +3 pass without testing. And I might keep testing on the hour until you see a rise or feel things are working out ok. If things get hairy and you start with the high carb, then test every 20-30 min. If you can update your SS - it seems to auto update it here right when you do that [I tend to keep it open in a browser tab]. Posting to this topic send me emails too. I'll try to keep an eye on things but I can't promise I'll be here or near. If you need help make sure to post for it.
OK, whew I just saw that 45 and you took the right action. Good question about the 19% I *think* that should do. I see sometimes in the Lantus SSs they talk MC and HC. 19% is better than nothing. Keep testing minimum every 30 minutes until you see at least a couple consecutive rising numbers. If she goes below 40, then I'd break out the Karo.
You've been here before - at least it is not the middle of the night.
I'm gonna get some coffee and try to schedule some work here at the computer so I can stay near.
judy you won't be a chicken after this, you'll have learned a lesson after this...you did not shoot the number here......i think that is the big difference from pzi and lantus. we only shoot the number ok.
at 9 my time i have to leave for a dr.'s appt.
if you find your in trouble and no one is here, post on health with a 911 stickie on your subject or the word HYPO. that gets eyes.
