Re: 11/12 Lucian AMPS 270
I may bump him up slightly in the next day or 2, but will be at my attorney's all afternoon Thursday, so I have to keep that in consideration too. He responds quickly, on Lev, never did on Lantus, so I may wait till Thursday night to take him up, just to be on the safe side.
Still have things to do in the apt before inspection, since I don't know when they're coming. Better not be before noon, I'll make them come back. Afternoons ONLY! All I have left to do is vac my area rugs (wood floors) and work on my plants and the plant area. Did everything else yesterday, plus all the laundry.
Lucian almost threw up on the bed again, but I heard him and put him down to the floor. Patches is in 1 of the beds and Lucian in the other. Meow Meow has a clean bed, I washed her bedding yesterday, but yesterday afternoon, I came in the bedroom and Meow Meow and Patches were in the new beds and Lucian was on MY bed pillow. I can't win! There isn't room for 3 beds on my bed and still have space for me! ohmygod_smile Their beds really don't matter, they just insist on being in my bed, with or without them. I only have Meow Meows bed in the dining room, since she was the only one that ever slept in there. Wouldn't do any good to bring it in here, she'd be on my bed anyway since I don't want the box on my bed. She goes 50/50, during the day she's usually in the dining room, at night on my bed, so I'll leave it in there. Of course in the winter, when I have the down comforter on the bed, they all sleep on it.

Because of that, I have it in a cover, with a flannel sheet on top, to keep the hairs of the cover. I just keep changing the cover sheet every few days. I do try to keep them off the sheets, but that doesn't always work out if I toss the covers back. ohmygod_smile Having the sheet on top of everything really helps though. Doesn't look real nice, but no one sees it but me. Days of having a 'pretty' bed are long gone.
Does anyone else pay attention to the fabric/design of their bedding because of their cats? When I'm looking at bedding, it's like "Oh the cats will ruin that with their claws." "Those ruffles wouldn't survive a week!" Know what I mean? Because Patches is the only one that can jump on the bed, Meow Meow climbs up the bed and Lucian has to be picked up, although he can get down sometimes. Meow Meow has left holes in bedspreads and such from climbing. So I always pay attention to whether or not they will ruin the look of something. You too?
I stick with heavy cottons most of the time, they are more durable. I have cotton chenille bedspreads from the 60's that have held up with little damage because they are so durable. I got out of the 'comforter set' thing many years ago. Never liked comforters in the summer anyway, just use sheets and a thin cotton blanket and my down comforters in the winter with duvet covers. I'm a cotton baby! With exception of the down, I use nothing but cotton, don't like synthetics or blends against my skin. Wish cotton wasn't so damned expensive. A couple years ago, I lucked out on a sale of 400tc sheets for $30, bought 2 sets. They are better now than ever. They have gotten so soft after all the use and washing. Haven't caught a sale like that since.
Amazon has some good prices occasionally. I'm getting the kids sheets for Christmas, since I don't know son's fiance' well and don't know what she likes. But he said she likes the same, heavy, crisp cotton sheets that we do, not the slippery sateen. I found a 610tc Egyptian long staple Pima cotton sheet set for $86. That's their present. I looked at sheets for DAYS literally! Finally settled on those. Was between those and 450tc Cotton Percale, which were a little cheaper. Either would be great sheets, but I decided on the Pima cotton. When money is tight, I don't buy frivolous gifts, only really usable ones. That's all I'm buying this year, 1 gift for them and maybe a $20 gift card for her 13 yo son, so he can get himself something. I don't know what a 13yo wants now days. He can get a new CD or something. So that's it! My Christmas shopping is done! Doesn't take long when you're broke! And that's going on a credit card.
