Might be the high before he clears the bounce. He needs more juice. Based on how he does today, you could take him up to 2U tomorrow.
Btw, do you have a meter with which you can cross-check Libre lows? Will he let you poke him for a test?

I thought yesterday was clearing the bounce… it’s not even like he went that low the night before. Oy.

I do have a meter, though I’ve had trouble getting blood. He lets me prick him once without much issue, but if I have to do it a second time he gets irritated, and a third becomes difficult. So I tend to save it for when really needed. Our relationship is much better (including shots) when I’m not annoying him by pricking his ears. I highly suspect he wouldn’t be as easy a patient if I had to do that multiple times a day; in general he is a loving… and yet very touchy cat once he’s pissed off.

Jack hasn’t hit real lows since he first started insulin and wasn’t eating well at the time, though. And at that time he was getting groggy enough from low glucose that he didn’t fight the pricking much.

So, how exactly are we overcoming that, again… will a high enough dose just overpower the bounce reaction? Or will he just bounce less each time (once we get a higher dose)?
