Hi All,

Racci seems to be fine but is acting weird today. She went to bed early last night but came out to eat before I went to bed. Normally she wouldn't have gone to bed early but would have waited for me and then had that last meal. She didn't wake me for food again early in the morning. Maybe dh fed her (I'll have to ask how many & when). When I got up she was still asleep and didn't want to get up. She finally got up at test/shot time & when I was getting her stuff ready I saw that dh had given her at least one meal so was a little less worried. I tested her just to make sure and she was fine 95 @ 10.5. I'll be testing again in half an hour.

My cold seems a little better today but my hip and back have been on fire since yesterday and are getting worse. I'm feeling all the bending to pick up toys and things and lifting Jesse & Racci, & bending and wrestling them to give meds or clean them. I'm having a really hard time getting comfortable sitting & didn't sleep much last night but sure am glad the cold is getting better!

Talk to you later. I have to go. Have a great day!

Hugs!
Melanie & Racci

Sounds like your DH has been feeding her but best to check with him. I leave the days food on the counter and tell my DH to leave the cans there when finished. I tell him to not tidy the empties away which is easy since he aint tidy anyway ;) That way I know exactly how much was fed for the day.

I see you have been at this same dose for quite a while. She has gone under 50 at least three times, are you planning to try a dose decrease again at some point? I can see she has been up and down the ladder quite a bit.

I'll tell Leo that he's not to follow Racci's craziness with dose changes, k? :-D

Re: 11/11 Racci AMPS-F128

Hi Wendy,

Oh, I know he fed her. I'm just not sure if it was once or twice & what time. I always leave a dish of food wrapped up in the fridge for her overnight since he usually wakes first but he'll feed again if she's still hungry and I sleep late. He's certainly not neat and the dirty dish was there. I don't know what time or how many times he fed her though.

Racci has been having a hard time holding her decreases at this level. I shaved her dose a little this morning and already she went up instead of down! I tested at 3.5 and it was 157. She was still going up. I don't know if she will continue to or if her system is just slowed down from the decrease but this will tell me whether she is ready for the decrease or not. I have a feeling she's just not stable enough yet for the decrease and if given now will just need to go right back up after bouncing for a week or two like she always does when changing. I'm about to test her again though and we'll see where she is now. Thanks.

Hi Lisa,

That's a good idea! You don't need him following her example on changes! No reason for more craziness than you have to have. Racci's been up and down with these doses about 4x already! GRRRRR!

Have a good day!
