Allowed me to massage his tail and lower back, doesn't seem as boney. He allowed the massage on his tail a bit longer than last night.. then he nipped me to let me know that was enough. He allowed me to massage his back legs as well- he doesn't walk very far without laying down but this morning was purring away while laying on my chest. Happy cat. He LOVES that pork. It was cooked in water in the crock pot and there was really no fat-lean roast. I'm pretty sure his BG are up due to that BUT he could of gotten into the other cat's food over the night.

I'm glad Khan seems to be feeling good, purring kitties are always nice! I hope his tail improves.

I think there's room for a 0.25u increase to bring his numbers down. What do you think?

Well I'm glad that he lets you massage his tail a little more today .. are you still thinking a vet visit is in order? If so, I hope it is just the glands that need to be dealt with ... Now come on down off that pink floor khan ok? have a great day guys!

I don't think the pork is causing Khan's numbers to be high -- not unless you cooked it in sugar!!

I agree with Laurie -- it's looking like a dosecrease is in Khan's future. (Unless he reads his condo today and decides he's not really wanting more juice.)

You all were reading my mind. Pork didn't do it- I think that little stinker stole a few kibbles of the other cat's food. I definitely am up for the increase. Should I just go for it tonight? I say YES.. since I only have tomorrow to work thru if his numbers drop.

Up the dose from 1.25u to 1.5?

Now that we all posted this, of course he'll decide to drop allllllll day long. Sometimes just the threat of an increase does the trick. ;-)

If you will be able to get some spot checks in tonight and tomorrow, then tonight is fine. Yes, I would increase from 1.25u to 1.5u. Naturally, if he decides to respond to the dosecrease threat with better numbers, then so much the better!

I think his overall numbers are high, even discounting the spike today from the contraband. He would feel better in lower numbers, and his neuropathy won't go away without getting his BG down more...the Methyl B12 only does so much, regulation is the key.

Those kitties and the contraband! :roll: Mr Tinkles just LOVES the drooler food...what's up with that?

Thanks! Even if he drops he may not drop below 100 anyway so I'm not too worried. Plus I'm a bit more comfortable with the Lantus since he has been on it a while. Knowing his numbers makes me more comfortable.

I'm hoping he will continue to feel better and better. I'll continue to give him the pork/boil chicken. To see his face AFTER he eats that pork!!! almost like he is smiling! I should get a picture and place it on here.. it is funny.

Oh yes, picture please! Good luck with the dosecrease, or maybe show Khan the condo, so you won't need it?
 
Khan is LOVN that pork! Bad news is I do not have anymore low carb wet food in my house. I thought I had two cases however my girlfriend bought the seafood GRAVY variety pack. I also have two HALO -spot stews and a cowboy cookout by Merrik I can check the list for carbs...also a few other brands. I do have EVO Herring & Salmon dry WORSE case scenario to get me through to tomorrow morning so I can run to the store. bummer.. I didn't look close enough.. case color is pretty darn close to same color.
