Good afternoon!

Corduroy is still acting under the weather, but his BG levels have been pretty good, relatively. I've been trying to get ahold of my vet, to no avail yet today. Although he's acting better, he's still not quite himself. He's only pooped a tiny bit today; however, it's a bit more solid than yesterday. He still doesn't want to eat:(

if he's not getting enough to eat in spite of your efforts to tempt him, there are a couple of appy stimulants that might help. Mirtazapine and Cypro - both have pros and cons. punkin used Mirtz without a problem - some cats get wild on it. Zener uses cypro regularly.

it's important to figure out if why he's not eating - if he's nauseous. you don't want to give an appy stimulant to a cat that wants to vomit! Cerenia is available in a shot or pills, mirtz says it has an anti-nausea component on the website, but i don't know about that, Ondansetron are the things i'm aware of that are ok for diabetic cats to take for nausea.

punkin didn't really do the obvious stuff, like lick-lipping, that say nausea. some cats do. but something is making him not want to eat. hope the vet can get you some help right away. we had great success with cerenia - initially a shot at the vet's then followed up with pills.

When mine wasn't eating ( she's very picky- doesn't usually want the same food twice in a row) , I tried the Pepcid ac to see if it made a difference.
And it would. She would eat afterwards.

So after that , I asked the vet for the ondansetron and cypro just for those bad days.
And they have made a difference as well.
We haven't needed it on a day by day basis... but I have it in the cabinet when I suspect her tummy is a little off.

Hope you get a hold of the vet tomorrow.... maybe they took off for the holiday.
