Checkers ate good breffis, and more at +2.
He had a very traumatic afternoon yesterday. Apparently I left....(and I'm guess this is what happened) a lancet on the couch, where I tested, and he must have rolled onto it.
He was napping on couch, when he suddenly flew up and was flailing wildly, and contorting, and ended up sitting on his butt against the back of the couch, arms extended, eyes huge, as if to ward off blows.
It was horrifying!! I thought he was having a seizure. He then flew off the couch, ran down the hall.
He didn't seem to be in pain, so I saw no reason to take him to ER, until I could evaluate the situation.
I saw something small fly up, as he was flailing, so I thought he was bitten by an insect. I needed to find it to tell doc, if needed.
I first looked inside lamp shade, 'cause a bug will go to the light...nothing......tore the couch apart...pillows, slipcover, etc.....nothing. Nothing on the window. Oh Lord, what bit him?
He appeared physically okay, just terrified.
When I walked back into the room, I saw the lancet on the floor in front of the couch. Aha! That's what bit him!
That was early yesterday afternoon. He still won't go back on the couch, or his nearby beloved cube, or even stay in the living room. although when I bring him in, he stalks
the couch, crouching, trying to see underneath, in case the bad biting thing, is hiding underneath it.
I know it's bad for him, but I've been luring him up onto the couch and cube, by dropping bits of EVO kibble. He will go up and get it, but jumps down as quickly as possible.
I've been giving Rescue Remedy.
Any suggestions for gettinghim over this trauma of being bitten would be greatly appreciated.
