Mornin LL,

This momma bean slept in this morning, almost an hour :o Surprisingly Leo didn't come to wake me up, when i got up he was crashed right out in his kitty bed. We come out here (to my parents) and he eats whatever is put in front of him, so for the first time this week he ate LC fuds for breffis! We had a good test, shoot and feed.

We came out to my parents yesterday to make cat food and what a horrible trip that was, Leo was meowing at the top of his lungs and shaking so badly, then we passed his vet (its on the way to my parents) and he was fine!! I think he thought that's where we were going, i tried telling him we weren't going there but apparently it didn't work.

I made the cat food yesterday and i cooked it too long, almost all the way thru. Leo has had a few bites of it here and there, my parents cat Kathy who is a chronic vomiter, LOVES IT! and hasn't barfed it up! So, as long as someone likes it i'm happy :-D

Back to work for me tomorrow  I'm going to miss my kitty, but he seems really happy to be here this week.

Re: 11/9 Leo AMPS 160, +3 92

Leo is lookin fine this morning. Nice +3!

Tracy, good job on the food making! I'm still mixing Weezer's with canned food. I'll just gradually increase the ratio of homemade. Isn't it a ggod feeling to actually know what's in the bowl?

Hi guys .. poor leo, so scared of going to the vets again! Isn't it crazy how he knew he was fine once you passed it? I'm glad to hear the kitty food making was a success and hope that all the kitties will learn to enjoy it! have a great day!

Great start for Leo today! I bet he was scared he was going to the vet, or at least let you know that that was not appropriate. Glad you got to sleep in. Yay for snuggled in kitties and beans.

Boo on going back to work. That would be so hard to go back and forth like that. It is so great that Leo has DGP to keep him company.

Good job on the fuds making. I would imagine that it will take a few times to get your formula, cooking time, etc just right. You need a big pat on the back for trying it, or maybe just a hug. :YMHUG: :YMHUG: :YMHUG:

It is crazy that Leo knows where we are going when we're driving.

My job......its good that i get to be with Leo for a week at a time, uninterrupted, but on the other hand i don't see him for a whole week at a time. I would definitely consider leaving for a job in the city, but no where else pays the money that i make and i only work for 23 weeks a year. It has its pros and its cons........

Leo, you are one smart kitty (but you have to listen to your mamabean when she tells you that you're not going to the vet!! (Alice (GA), who analyzed our every move, was also too smart and often added 2+2 and got 5 because she factored in things that weren't there!)
The food-making adventure does indeed sound like an adventure. They say it gets easier. And you have one appreciative diner (and maybe Leo will come around).

Leo, thank you for your offer to make me some more mouse soup. It is very good and has such a meaty taste. Maybe it's curing my cold!! Rusty says to bring your wooly shirt to the party tonight. Snow is expected.

Have a good week, Tracy. Your job sounds neat and you get to spend a lot of time outdoors. You must be in fabulous shape.

Hi Tracy, wow on Leo's numbers this afternoon and on making the raw food. That's cute that Kathy, your Mom's cat, enjoyed the food. Awww Leo, sorry you had such a bad scare thinking you were going to the Vetty. I bet he's so happy to see his DGP's. Have a nice day and sorry about the tbp tomorrow.

Hi Tracy!! I haven't had time to set up a condo for Champ , but saw you made food so wanted to comment. I know a lot of people partially cook the meat, but it's really not necessary if you use whole pieces of meat. As long as you wash it before cutting it up, you'll wash off any surface bacteria. Plus, the time the food is in a cat's stomach and intestines is so much less than a human so the chance of any problems is almost absent. That's why it's recommended to only use whole cuts of meat and grind it yourself (or chunk it up). DO NOT feed ground beef at any time because you don't know what bacteria got mixed up into the meat. I know you said your mom sometimes gives ground beef to Leo as a snack, but I would discourage this. I've given Champ pieces of raw steak, raw chicken, and raw shrimp as a snack and he's never had any problems. The homemade food I made for him is completely raw...no cooking at all. I don't even heat it up for him when it comes straight out of the fridge!! He's so in love with it that he very vocally begs for more right after I've just fed him. I've ended up feeding him a little more during the day, but he's actually lost a little weight!! Of course, I'm using the TCFeline premix so I don't know if that makes a difference in the taste of the finished product compared to buying all the supplements separately and mixing it with the meat. As soon as the TCFeline I have is gone, I'll be buying the supplements and I just hope Champ still loves it!!
