Khan was really happy this morning just before feeding and shot. Purring, rubbing against me while laying next to me.. happy cat this morning. REALLY happy when I gave him the lean pork.

Poop- solid
Pee seems to be more than normal, I did see him drinking after eating but I don't think that is a big deal (he needs to drink-haha)

His tail is really weird.. maybe he is chewing on it? clumping fur and very touchy if I try to massage it.

I've noticed the tail issue in the past week or so but probably was like that for a while. I did detangle the area and then he went to bite me since he didn't want me to touch it. Now in the past few days I noticed the hair is thinning out on his tail..maybe due to his biting it. He does show he does not want me to massage it.

What should I do?

Both him and my breast cancer cat (his mom) sit together on the heat pad. I fear I will end up having to say goodbye to her in the next few months. So sad..makes me cry but I will do what is best for her.

My friend's dog had a similar tail issue recently - he was chewing on it and it had a sort of rash looking thing on the underside. Turns out his anal glands needed to be expressed, so you might ask the vet about that.
 
could be since his stools are soft. I will take him in to have the tech take a look. cost is only $15 to express the glands.
