A better start for everyone today. Trix dipped her toes back in the lagoon, but is still in this odd little fuds spike mode.
Noah seemed as close to his old self as I've seen him in days. He was anxiously waiting for his breffis, and he dove in without fussing. He's not a CPC kitty (never has been), but he did make a good dent in his bowl from the get-go. I still swear, in comparing how he's eating now (crunching and swallowing normally) to how he was eating the other day (flicking out his tongue, chewing to one side, dropping lots of food) that something in his mouth was bothering him, even though the vetty said his mouth looks perfect. And, I am still absolutely shocked that they found blood in his urine (no crystals or bacteria), as he shows absolutely no signs of urinary distress...no frequent trips to the box, no incidents outside the box, no obvious red flags at all. I know some kitties here have UTIs without symptoms, but his BW and other urine "properties" don't point to a UTI, either. My GA Mr Kitty did have a urinary blockage many years ago, so I have experienced the obvious signs. The main objective to testing his urine was to cross check his kidneys with his BW that was done at the ER. I don't know what I think...I'm still pretty shaken, since I was totally expecting an "all clear" on his pee.
Thank you, everyone, for visiting Trix's Gotcha day, and for letting me go on about my civvies. I know they are very OT, but it is so helpful knowing there are people out there who understand how I feel about my kitties.
Time to get ready for work. Have a wonderful day, my LL family.
