Milo finally hit blue last night!!! 122 at +3. I am begining to wonder if it is how I am giving him is shot that is causing his numbers to go all over the place. Last night I had to open a new thing of needles and grabbed from the old box that contained the long needles instead of the short needle I have been using. I went ahead and used the long needle and ended up getting the 122 reading 3 hours later. I love the short needles because I feel like I have more control and Milo doesn't react at all to them. However, maybe I need to position the needle facing down a bit more??? Anyone else had any experience similar to this??

Milo is doing great this morning. Was up and playing before I rolled out of bed and purring while getting tested. He layed on the foot of our bed last night and gave himself a long good cleaning....blue sure does look good on him! Hopefully he will surf there again today.

Re: 11/09 Milo AMPS 276

I recall reading a post from Jojo to someone....she preferred the long needled syringes. I was enjoying the shot ones myself but changed over the the long again. I think the longer needles get the insulin deeper where there is more action...that was the essence of the post anyway and it made sense to me....so I went back to the longer ones.
People also notice a difference in action when they shoot in other places besides the scruff.
Nice to see the blue...

Interesting on the needles - I used to use long, switched to short, now I wonder.

Nice sunny yellow for Milo this morning. I hope Milo has a great day - good numbers, fun times!

Once again Milo has decided to go up instead of down. I used a short needle this morning. I think I am going to start using the long needles to see if his +3 reading last night was a fluke or if there is something to the length of the needle...
