He was so debilitated, I crated him last night to make sure he had food, water, and litterbox handy, and so none of the other cats could bug him.

I gave him 1.5 units of insulin last night and this morning.
Straight Sophisticat this morning, since the A/D spiked him like a wildfire.
He ate, he drank.
He was too weak to get to the basement litterboxes, so I carried him down, waited for him to pee, then carried him back up.

AMPS 436 - he'd eaten in the last 15 minutes before testing
+2 423 - insulin is offsetting food spike

Glad Spitzer is still with us this morning. You have had a couple of rough days, BJ. Hope things settle down a little and you and Spitzer can enjoy some time in the sunshine or in front of the fire? (Weather dependent, huh?)

I am sorry Spitzer is so weak. I am keeping you and him in my thoughts and prayers and hoping today he will eat and feel stronger.

Thanks everyone. I've been trying to study for Chemistry class, but have been so occupied with Spitzer that I'm about 4 weeks behind in taking tests. They let us schedule them as desired, so long as they're finished by the term end. I've got lab this evening, too, and I'll crate him then to keep him safe.

Tried for a +4 and failed miserably. Rather than bother him more, just let him eat and go rest.

PMPS in the 400s still.
I'm taking him up to 2 units of ProZinc.
I don't think I have a lot of time to get this raging glucose under control.
I'll test @ +2 and +4 tonight to see how he's doing, then I need to crash.
I have to go to work tomorrow, at least part of the day and won't be home to do bolus doses of R if he needs them.

He seems a bit more active and is eating and drinking some.
 
Eating and more Active...we will take it!

Here is hoping he continues to improve. Keeping you and Spitzer in my prayers.
