11/01 Alska AMPS=258 PMPS=258

Alska is easing down just the way he likes it. He is now letting me shoot him right after the test so I don't have to bring him and the food back upstairs. It seems that he likes to eat in the kitchen with the boy civvies now because he can grab whatever scraps they don't finish. He is such the piglet.

He also doesn't seem to be as disturbed about the shot like he was on that former pen. Maybe bad lantus stings even more...

My civvies gifted me with a rodent. Of course the presentation venue for the bloodied body was the upstairs bathroom right where the white bath rug usually is. Luckily I have begun hanging up the rug when not in use. They just love to bloody that rug. Alska didn't seem too concerned with the thing. I guess now that he gets all the food he wants he is not interested in having to source these.

Oh mommy look what we got for you. Why you not like it? lol

I have the opposite problem with Autumn. She has no interest in toys but we had a mouse get in last week. The civies ran from it but Autumn was on it like white on rice. I can tell she's an ex-barn cat. Of course she gifted it to me by dropping it on my chest while I was laying on the couch about half asleep. lol

Oh no Autumn, you didn't drop in on momma bean's chest I had a civvie bring me a slug by way of dropping it into my lap. I didn't notice until Alska came and sat on it and rolled over and there it was clinging to his belly.

I used to have pet mice so I always feel sorry for the poor things. Especially since it happened while I was home and I could have possibly saved it. Yes, I do praise my civvie for his contribution. I like it better when he puts them in the food bowls. He does that with his toy mice.

I get the feeling that Alska was one of many who lived outdoors with somebody throwing them food at times. It is a whole new experience for him to be inside getting lots of human attention. He just eats it up. He rarely goes out into the yard even though they have 24/7 access through the doggy door.

It's funny I've had lots of pet rats and love them but mice creep me out. lol

Maybe I was a cat in another life because mice just remind me of prey but no self respecting cat will tangle with a rat.

I actually don't know what these creatures are. They have the body, tail and size of a rat but don't have the pointy face of a rat or mouse. I need to look them up.
