ATrak 216
Relion Micro 192 (24 point variance)
Just to make sure the ATrak was accurate with this high of a reading, I tested with the Relion Micro.

Morning, but not a very good start for Maggie with an upset tummy :( I'm not surprised with this high for Maggie AMPS, as she vomited in the bedroom this morning (mostly food) and then a couple of just spit episodes. She wasn't at all interested in having her Beechnut chicken & broth bf treat, so I thought it was a little strange. No interest in FF either, so I tried her very favorite mc FF Turkey & Giblets, and she ate a little, but mostly sucked the juice. When I saw she wasn't eating, I gave her 1/4 of a Pepcid 10mg tablet, and it went down easily. Maggie is very easy to pill. I debated on a bcs shot, but then I again offered her FF T & G, and she did eat enough for me to give her the shot. One thing I've caught her doing occasionally is licking a blanket. Any ideas what's up there? The last time she had a vomit episode, I blamed it on Special Kitty, but this time it was FF, so I'm not so sure it's the food. I need to do laundry down the walkway later, but I'll be around today to keep an eye on the sweety. I had one errand but it won't take long.

Re: 10/9 Maggie AMPS 216 ATrak

Sending tons of healing vines and positive thoughts for Miss Maggie. I wish for her to make a full and speedy recovery. Try and have a good day.

Re: 10/9 Maggie AMPS 216 ATrak

Wouldn't it be nice if they could just tell us what was wrong? We're so attuned to these guys by the nature of caring for diabetes that we seem to pick up on everything.

For what it's worth, I have a 12 hour rule here with all our pets. Stomach aches, limps, and lp all get put on the 12 hour "before I judge" watch list and 99% of time, they resolve without worries. Lethargy, balance, urinary, breathing....all on the immediate judgement list.

I sure hope she feels better!

Oh no :o on the pukus, sorry to hear Maggie has an upset tummy again.

Sending healing vines for Mags to feel better.

I'm so sorry to hear that sweet Maggie has an upset tummy again. Hoping the pepcid will help. Maybe Maggie likes the detergent smell on the blanket? Hope you can get to the bottom of her tummy problems today.

Re: 10/9 Maggie AMPS 216 ATrak

Morning guys! so sorry Maggie isn't feeling so great.. poor girl! be better Maggie, OK? sorry for the pukus... sorry too for the high BG. What's up Maggie?

Mannie will occasionally lick the blankets too. I've always thought that there is something there that gets his attention, whether it be a smell, or something he just likes. no clue...

Hope you guys have a good day!

I didn't think she would drop, as she had FF turkey & giblets, which usually causes a spike since it's 7 carbs.

Thanks Angela for the healing vines and positive thoughts.

Hi Jessica, that sure makes a lot of sense on waiting the 12 hour "before I judge" watch list and 99% of time, they resolve without worries.

Hi Tracy, Maggie thanks you for the healing vines, and she hopes no more pukus, too.

Hi Georgia, I think the Pepcid may be helping. sShe just had a little Beechnut bf from my finger.

Hi Michelle, that's interesting that Mannie sometimes licks the blanket, too. I wonder if it's the smell they like!

Is Mags feeling better yet?

I wanted to stop by and tell you that it's Canadian thanksgiving tomorrow, but dinner is today for my family.

Maggie will surf the high blues. She had a few bites of FF Turkey & Giblets, so she's happy!

Hi Tracy, thanks for explaining about the Canadian thanksgiving! I'm learning of others' tradition. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. Yes, I think the pepcid helped. Maggie is eating FF turkey & giblets, so she thinks it's Thanksgiving for her :-D as I normally won't feed it unless she needs a boost.

Sorry to see the Magster is feeling puny this morning. Maybe tummy upset is going around? Zener needed some pepcid this AM too and jumped on the express train to the green station! Hope Maggie feels better soon! Thanks for stopping at our condo earlier. The mouse hunting episode was very entertaining for us all. ;-)

I like Jessica's 12 hour judgement rule. I love common sense directions to follow I can remember! :thumbup

Re: 10/9 Maggie AMPS 216; PMPS 159 ATrak

Thanks Christie and SmokeyD for the visit. I think so, too, with the better number for the pm she must be feeling better. I wish I knew what causes these episodes.

Sending Maggie many, many healing vines. I'm so sorry to read your condo that she was so sick this morning. Poor Miss Maggie.

I hope she continues to eat and feel better tonight and has more of her normal numbers tomorrow. What a great mom you are, Ann!!

Snuggle with your little girl tonight and paws crossed tomorrow will be better.
