Yesterday's Condo

I can't tell if the kitties are having a bit of a reaction to their shots. They took some coaxing to eat breakfast #2. (It's either that, or Gizmo knows he can old out for chicken dust on top of his food if he walks away and I think Gabby has caught on to his trick.)

Mum's civvie doesn't react well to her vaccinations, she had an antihistamine first last time but still didn't eat for 24 hrs afterwards, just sat around looking miserable :(

I hope your guys were just being cheeky about getting their dust :)

I just got Gabby's labs back. She's in the early stages of CKD. Her blood pressure was high when the vet checked it but it was hard to know if that was due to the vet exam. We've got a few more tests in her future. The CKD is no surprise for a 15yo cat with FD but certainly not something I wanted to hear.

:bighug::bighug::bighug:

Neko's BP ranged from 146 to 210 on three tests within the same month, depending on stress level. Paws crossed Gabby's is down next time.

I hope the BP is just due to vetty stress. Remember Gabby doesn't know anything is different. She'll still be her usual, loving self. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Sorry to hear the CKD diagnosis, but I assume that since it is in an early stage that much can be done to keep it at bay. In any event, Gabby has lots of company here!
Hang in there, Sienne.
Sending vines!

Caught early is good! And, if her BP does happen to be a bit high, getting it under control may actually improve her kidney values (this worked for Trix). I hope their appies have picked up...vaccines can make anyone feel yucky.

Sorry to hear Gabby has early CRD. :bighug::bighug:
There is lots you can do to manage it.
Sheba has the same diagnosis. I have changed her diet, make sure she drinks extra fluids and she is on Benazepril for protein in the urine.
