WCR he is doing great this morning but we have only 3 P's so far he must think its too early for any LB action. He continued to go up last night from his +1 of 142 and almost every morning he is having a high amps so wondering if we will end up going bk up in dose a little but we shall see I guess. Kittens are still doing well Mom is feeding a little more now when I went to feed at 7 they were fed and sleeping in a kitten heap by her so I did not wake them up I will next time just to change bedding and do a weight check to make sure they are getting some from her. But at least things seem to be improving with the babies (anti-jinx) still really sad over Bearman so I want Linda to know that I am thinking of her today its been pretty sad lately first Stu and now Bearman I was just telling DH yesterday that I had no idea how attached I could get to family and cats that I had never met (in person) this board is just like a extended family ((((HUGS)))) to all of you this Caturday morning ~O) ~O)

Nice post -- bunches of hugs to you too! I love your description of the kittens being in a heap -- I can just see & feel them, so very, very sweet as life continues on...Take care!

I know what you mean about getting so close to everyone...never having really met them, ya know?
We have to accept both the happy times and the very very sad times when we get so attached to everyone, right?
Tears come at the drop of a hat now....it is just so devastating....

Nice report on Do Lou. He seems to bounce at night and come back down the next day. Blackie does that sometimes too. I'm glad the kittens are nursing more. Maybe you can get some rest. :-D

I feel exactly the same way! Who would have thought that I could sit at my computer and cry over someone I never met. Doesn't matter if we met or not, the love is still there.

+5 167 well the boy is on the move down again this is just what he did 2 days ago when he hit 40s at +10 he is eating his lunch now merricks cowboy cookout boy he sure loves that and we have had one more P to add still waiting on that final poo P I am sure that will arrive pretty soon

Kitten update just weighed them all and had all gained a wee bit on their own well I say on their own last feeding was at 3am but I have not fed as of yet today since they kept nursing on her and acted content so I think I am going to give them until this afternoon and see what is going on and then see if I need to feed or if Mom is ready to take on the task full time

Well talked to Do Lou's vet to give him a kitten update as well as some cat reports on 2 of my cats he has been treating over the last couple of months so he asked about Do Lou's eye which I said was better and then he asked about his FD we had not talked in some time about this since he always pushes for the fasting 8 hour thingy and that I am testing DL way too much so overall we kinda skip talking about FD since he is great but his FD way of thinking sure needs a update well anyway I proceed to tell him about Do Lou's last couple of days and LOL :lol: :lol: his suggestion was to leave dry out :shock: :shock: and not test for 3 days and see how he does :roll: :roll: I am like you know I cannot do that and he is like OK just a suggestion and so he then said he had finally started his cat on lantus I pray nothing happens to the girl he does love her and I guess its good she eats nothing but higher carb treats for he said she had been on lantus a month and he has yet to test her sigh...... just cannot imagine what he is thinking

Do Lou is looking good, I see he tried to surprise you again but you were ready for him, nice catch! :mrgreen:

So glad to hear that the kittens are needing less feeding from you! I'm sure you will be glad to let mom do all the work now, I hope they keep gaining without supplemental feeding!

I don't understand your vet's thinking either, you would think he would see the results you are getting and learn something....but sometimes it's like beating your head against a wall, it feels better when you stop! :roll:

Loved your first post, Lisa, and so happy the kittens are doing so well (knock on wood). I was shocked at what your vet said and what he's doing with his
own cat ohmygod_smile ohmygod_smile Maybe you should refer him to FDMB!!

Very nice numbers for DL...does he have a late nadir all the time?? Nice surf...hope it keeps up.

Lisa look at him go :mrgreen: I think he talked to Gabby and Gracie and it's a catspiracy. I hope Powder decides to join in soon or he's definitely getting a dosecrease. My vet as you've read has odd thinking too. At least yours is using Lantus instead of Regular ohmygod_smile but no test in a :o month. Keep those nice numbers floating :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :thumbup

Hi Lisa,

You are so right about getting very attached to all the kitties and beans on the Board. It really is an extended family, and I'm so thankful that I found it.

Sounds like Do Lou is doing well! Glad the kittens are doing better. Loved the image of the kitten pile! :-D

Little Lily is a cutie!!! I like to take the bigger dogs at the shelter out for runs and long walks, and then I love to end my shift by walking and cuddling with the little dogs. They can be such love bugs!

pmps 126 and thats one thing I do miss about our collie mix we lost bk in 03 she was such a great hiking buddy until her arthritis got he best of her my little Lily cannot hike with me unless its in a pouch on me anyway :lol:

AWW thanks Tena they do seem to be getting more milk from Mom I am hoping by this next weekend they will be on her full time

Do Lou came down really nicely for you today and I hope the 2nd cycle of the day will be good for him too, No scuba diving OK ? Your Mom wants some rest tonight.

I know so well what you mean about this Board being our extended family. You know I had the great pleasure of meeting some members at the Seattle Reunion last year and the great thing was they all were exactly the way they were on the Board. I felt that I knew each of them so well already. This place truly is magical.

I agree with what you and everyone said -- this is like an extended family. I've had the opportunity to meet a few people from LL and it definitely feels like you're meeting up with an old friend.

Great cycle for Do Lou. It's good to hear that the kittens are doing better. When do we get to see photos?

Be taking pics soon I was afraid to jinx things by taking pics I have done this before and then something happens so I wanted to wait with these little ones but maybe tomorrow been wanting to take some sooner but have held back
 
Hope Do Lou has a good evening. Can't believe your vet doesn't test his own kitty! I wouldn't be so polite, but it sounds like you have an agreement to disagree about treatment :smile:

I can relate to your comment about LL being one big family.
I've been here for about 2 months and feel like I've known you and your sugarbabies for ages. I've been shedding so many tears in front of this computer over Stu and now Bear Man. It's amazing how quickly we attach to and care for these little guys.
 
Very nice day Do Lou, but what's with the =2?

It is really incredible the way we become so close here in LL. I've been on other forums and the sense of family just isn't there. I never knew I belonged to a big family!
