We are so incredibly saddened today by the passing of our dear friend, Zener. Anne, Liz, Zener, and Tillie all showed (and continue) to show us the truest meaning of love, commitment, and selflessness...a truly inspirational family. Our prayers are with Anne, Liz, and Tillie as they mourn the passing of their sweet boy. His presence, spirit, and heart will forever be felt here in LantusLand.

I don't know what's up with Trix's higher "PS" numbers lately, but Ms P does make it know that she is on the job. We take her for a BP re-check this evening; 2 months ago, her BP was running too low so we halved her dose. Last month she was on the border of being too low (taking white coat syndrome into account), so vetty wanted to continue with the same dose and recheck sooner than we normally would....so that is tonight. No other tests for Trix, fortunately.

We had a perfect gelcap morning, and apparently I picked THE best can of Fancy Feast ever, because she really went to town!

Everything went smoothly with my Dad's chemo yesterday. His pre-infusion BW showed all of his values (tumor markers aside) - which were strong to begin with - had actually even improved. He had the best hemoglobin that he's had since before all this started. My Mom and I went shopping again during the infusion - just Sam's Club and Target for nothing very fun (other than fuzzy socks for me and "sensible shoes" for her), but we packed the trunk and overflowed into the back seat. My Dad said we're not allowed to go to his treatments anymore  ! Next time, we're going to Kohl's!

Gotta get moving....have a great day, LantusLand. Endless hugs to Liz, Anne, and Tillie....

Amy

Good Monning Amy !

What beautiful comments you wrote for Anne and Liz in the loss of their sweet Zener. Just so very sad.

Glad your food selection this morning was a hit....always help to get the day started off better when they eat.
Good luck with the tests today!

Happy to hear your Dad's Chemo went well and that his numbers are improving. It sounds like you and your Mom are now officially banned from going with him

Hope you have a wonderful Wednesday...

Thank you, Amy, your kind words made me cry. (((Amy))) We are so very sad and couldn't make it through these days without our LantusLand family. You mean the world to us. :-D

Great report for Trixie! I'm so glad for awesome appy, smooth pilling and Mr. Greenie!  Paws crossed for the BP check tonight. And great report for DF's chemo. Sending tons of vines for everyone. I know what he means about the dangers of shopping...

Nice recovery as always. Trixie just has to keep you guessing. Good luck on the BP check. I hope she passes with flying colors. Yay for a perfect gelcap morning and your menu choice. Sounds like a perfect morning all the way around.

Too funny on the shopping. Kohls is a definite must for next time. ;-) Good chemo reaction vines for your dad. Big hugs to you Amy. ((((HUGS))))

Morning Amy ~O) ~O) ~O)

So eloquently said: I could not agree more on Zener, and his beans. I know I will miss the Z-man. Such a sad day.

Good luck Trixie with your BP check. I hope you pass with flying colors. Nice too on that +3. Mr P is doing a great job. Awesome on the appy! GOOOOOOOO Trixie!

  on the shopping! love it!

Very good news on your dad. I am glad things went so well with this treatment.

Enjoy your day today. I hope all goes well.

Looking good there Trixie girl! Glad she had a good gelcaps morning. Glad your Dad's chemo treatment went well. How fun and also funny with you and your Mom shopping with your Dad's comment. Yay, next time Kohls should even be more successful. :-D Continued vines and prayers for your Dad.

Re: 10/8 Trixie AMBG 172 "+3" 97

Yay for Ms. P being on duty! I think Trixie just wants to keep you from getting too complacent about her recovery - as if you could! Or maybe Ms. P is just showing off!

  on being banned from accompanying your DF to chemo. Tell him he should be grateful the time frame is limited - just imagine if you had all day to shop! :o ;-)

Yay on a perfect gelcap morning and a voracious Trixie. Great way to start your day!

Beautifully said about Zener - it's amazing how sad the crossing of one little furry critter can make so many people. We truly are a family, and we are all grieving with and for them.

Sending lots of good post-chemo vines and prayers for your dad.

Tonight was Trix's BP check...she's doing well at 135 now, so now we get a 3 month breather before we have to check it again - yay! I had to do her gelcap right before we left, and it went down so quickly and easily that I had to pat her fur down to make sure it wasn't stuck to her  !

Time for fluids, dinner, and maybe even an adult beverage  .....

Yay for a good BP check and gelcap dosing. I'm glad chemo went smoothly yesterday. Keeping him in my prayers.

Great day for Trixie and Ms. P today. Good news on the dad front too. Definitely time for that adult beverage. drinking24

I had to  about patting Trixie down. I've done that so many times with Minka - and sometimes I do find the pill in her fur! But sometimes it really is that easy.

I agree about the adult beverage. I think I'll have a couple, too...... ;-)

I, too, had to  at Trixie's pat down as well as your dad's reaction to your Sam's & Target run!!!! He sounds exactly like my dad, but at the same time he loves going to those places, too!!!! Glad Trixie got a clean bill-o-health with her BP check. ;-) Sleep well, Amy!
