Second day on the 5.5 dose and Minnie’s +6 numbers are actually higher than on the 5 dose. I know it can take up to 3 days to see the difference, so waiting to see what happens tomorrow. Not sure if this has anything to do with the lower dose of furosemide she’s on now

This would be what we like to call New Dose Wonkiness. Many cats will react to an increased dose with increased BGs - within the first 2 to 3 days after an increase, usually lasting for 24 hours. Hold the dose and ignore the fluctuations.

good to know because I always wonder if it means she actually needs less instead of more insulin. The preshot was lower so that’s something!
