Not feeling well today and missed getting AM +6, so I have no idea how low he went in between.
There were a few comments I didn't get to respond to in my post yesterday, and I'm not sure if I'm handling this right, but I didn't want to post there and have two posts at the top. Anyways....
I followed Dr. Lisa Pierson's "Tips for Transitioning Dry Food Addicts". https://catinfo.org/docs/TipsForTransitioning1-14-11.pdf. I really love her site. There's so much good info on feline obesity, diet, etc. https://catinfo.org/
I didn't want to rush it because my sugar kitty had almost died of hepatic lipidosis years before. I think it took about five months to transition. It was a long battle. First I had to stop free feeding the dry which resulted in an angry mob. Then I started mixing in a little wet with their dry and they hated this. So, I ended up doing little bits of warmed up canned food and added fortiflora to it. Which they liked and then I started adding ground up dehydrated chicken breast and chicken liver to it, which they loved. I would give them treats of the dehydrated so they got use to eating it. I think then I started increasing amount of wet food they were eating and decreasing the dry. It took such a long time and with multiple and cats and was challenging. I had tried and failed many times before, so I'm happy I finally got through it.
I'll get more +2's starting tonight.

What's the longest it took to make the transition and what worked? Mine refuses to look at wet food.
A +2 should give you an idea. I see you don't have any +2's at all. Maybe you could get some to see if his onset is at +2 or later/earlier?
