Morning...All is well in Maggie's world, and I think I heard one zoom just as i was waking up. Not a bad AMPS considering Maggie free feeds during the night, some of this may be food. I do try and get up two hours before her shot and usually make it. I was up earlier and went btd for almost two hours. Maggie had two or three mini breffifs, some whacking me with her untrimmed nails, and play time with her mouse toy. It's only 53 degrees here right now, so too cold for a walk yet; it will warm up later. Have a nice Saturday and sending healing vines to all our kitties not feeling this week.

Good for you on the sleep in! I know you're an early bird, so much deserved.

Ann, can you tell me what the conversion is on an Atrak vs. a human meter?

Hi Jessica, the conversion with the AlphaTrak and human meters is about 30 points variance, with the ATrak reading higher than the huma meter. Sometimes I can get a 46 points variance between the ATrak and my back-up meter, which is the Relion Micro. Last Thursday when I had a 179 on the ATrak, I tested on the Relion and got a 133, so it was a 46 point difference. Sometimes with a low number on the ATrak, there isn't that much of a variance between the two.

Hi Jessica, you're welcome; the only disadvantage is that the strips are kind of pricey, but I get some discount on ADW. I started using it as my Vet asked to see a weekly copy of the SS, and the Vet's office also use the ATrak. And then I just got so used to it myself, too.

Jessica, we use the ATrak too. Our experience is pretty much the same as Ann. I'll jump to your condo about it.

Hi Anne, the 102 (almost green) was Maggie's stopping point. That seems to be her early Nadir, and then she slowly rises. It makes it easy on me, as it's less testing and less worry when I leave, which is usually the mornings.

Very nice day for Maggie. I'm glad you always put the ATrack on your subject line so we will remember that your numbers are really lower. The 102 is definitely green!

I didn't know Maggie was a ferrel kitty.....she sure landed herself a wonderful home.

Thanks so much Tena. Yes, Maggie was a feral, and I found her or vice versa when she was less than a year old. We had a feral colony living in a ravine below our apartments, and the Feral Cat Coalition helped us with traps and names of Vets who would do a low cost neuter/spay. She found her way over to my apartment on the second floor one day when I left some food out for another stray cat. She is forever grateful to have a home.

Awwww it was meant to be.....the 2 of you together! So Mags was whacking you this morning? :lol: not a very nice way to treat your fuds-provider Mags. :lol:

Not too much action for the +3. I'm not sure why Maggie is not moving, unless the Bean did a fur shot or didn't get the correct drops.

Thanks Tracy. It did take some time getting Maggie adjusted and socialized at first, but she's such a mellow kitty. She does that whacking with her paw when I go to pet her indicating she wants to play, but she's a little rough with the claws, ouch!

That's so cool that she was a feral.....what a lucky, lucky, lucky day when she wandered up to your place!
