Henri go t into the bag of croutons! I fell asleep on the couch and I heard her and it was a part of my dream before I actually woke up and saw what was happening! She was definitely looking up crouton crumbs and I dont know for how long:( Do I continue with the OTJ trial? I wont be home to monitor her as closely. Should I just do another drop dose instead?

Ugh...I'm soooo annoyed

I Just tested Her, She's 80 and its +10. Shes going to be well over 100 I think for her AMPS :(

I went back to bed nd had the worst dream that I gave her insulin (1 drop) bc of the croutons and she was a ring all crazy eating everything inbsiggtbit I was told not to test her. And someone from the forum offered to do a forum phone call. I decided to test amd she was in the 30's and I couldn't find the HC food...so I gave her the medium to lick up from the can while I looked for HC.

I swear.. this cat is taking years from my life lol

I woke up totally stressed
 
Just tested her...shes 79... basically the same...so I guess its good that she's not higher. I expect come AMPS she could still be high though...now is when she tends to go up
 
Ah, a contraband addict! Luci is too...I have to constantly keep an eye on things on the counter - yesterday it was zucchini bread - I'd just gotten it out of the oven and it was cooling - and there was Luci attacking it! I swear that girl...drives me crazy. She's always into something; butter, chocolate candy, pizza crust, bread of any kind, crackers, chips, popped corn...you name it and if it's left unguarded it's fair game for her.

Sounds like Henri was just having a bite of something interesting and crunchy...and it didn't affect her number terribly this morning. I think this is an even better sign to go OTJ today! Congratulations on your first day! A little crouton crumb on board will help her surf higher while you're out today :)

Right! It was my fault. I fell asleep on the couch snacking on croutons and put them up on the TV tray.

Won't be making that mistake again lol
 
The purpose of the OTJ trial is also to wean the caregiver off of testing so much. He only gave you an excuse for 3 tests today. We might need to do an intervention! :p

From the OTJ instructions:
  • If he/she is green at your normal test times, no need to test further until the next "PS" time; just feed small meals and go about your day.
  • If he/she is blue at your normal "PS", feed a small meal and test again after about 3 or 4 hours

I was kind of trying to figure out when her high and low might be. I wasn't sure if It would still be like when she was on insulin. I thought If I knew when her high and low was off insulin that later down the line I could only test the high and low each cycle. Over the next couple days I also have to add in a couple supplements/medications and I'm curious to know how or if they might affect her BG. I shall try to lighten up lol
If it makes it any better she often stays asleep during lol
