Surprising amount of green last night for a guy on his alleged vacation dose. He had some numbers in the 60s that stuck on the Libre, along with a few alarms (<55) that didn't stick. I guess we'll see how today goes (I know the depot is still draining) but it's looking like we might be doing 1u instead.

As far as the rest of the prep goes for our trip, we're almost ready. I've arranged for a 'snack brigade' of various friends to come give Esse food sometime between +1.5 and +3 after the Rover sitter does his meals/shots. I've sent Google docs and printed them out so everyone knows what to do and what to watch out for. We've also pulled all of our camping stuff out of the basement and lined it up in the hall to make packing the car easier tomorrow--Esse is having a blast climbing around and 'inspecting' it all, it's great enrichment for him, haha.

Safe surfing!

Have a great time, Lauren. Sounds like you have a great team to watch over Esse!
Good luck with the dose, it should drain a bit and then be a safer dose.
Behave, Esse! Enjoy all the extra attention 💖🏄‍♂️🌊

What you saw yesterday was still the effects on the higher depot. The depot would be out of the picture today (it's been 4 cycles on this dose). If he stays largely over 80 today, 1.25U could be a good vacation dose. See what he does tonight.

You leave tomorrow night, right?

Yup, we're leaving around noon/AM+5 tomorrow. We'll do the AM shot and frontload his snacks and the sitter/+2 snack routine will start for PM.

His lowest today on the Libre was 72 around +8.25 but that was with snacks at +1.5, +3, and +6 like normal. We did also have one alarm from the Libre, although that number (in the 50s) didn't stick on the graph. We're just really nervous about having the sitter continue with 1.25 because he probably won't eat anything from +2 to the next PS, so on a day like today his nadir could have been lower and no one would be able to be there (at least not quickly). If he was willing to eat when he's home alone it would be a different story.

Then 1U is fine as a vacation dose. It's always better he runs a little higher when you aren't around than too low. You can always go back up to 1.5U when you get back.

Have a good trip! :)
