Good morning! Chi Chi slept up on my bed last night :smile: Well, I had to lift her up..she doesn't jump too high anymore, and my bed is very high. She also has a limp from what the vet said was arthritis in her elbow, which shes had for years. We were giving cosequin for a while which did help, but her numbers went higher while on it. I wish there was something to give her that didn't effect the numbers. And we have a yellow this am which hopefully she slides down into some blues and greens today. Im working so will post numbers later.Have a great day everyone.

have you tried adequan shots for the arthritis? they work pretty well on many cats - punkin improved quite a bit on them. I was told the equine version of Adequan is best for cats. It takes a prescription to get it. I bought mine from the vet.

I haven't heard of cosequin affecting blood sugar in other cats, but it didn't help punkin much.

Long day! Mom fed her at +2, +3 and +4. Each time, she got lc fancy feast t&g 1/4 can. She continued dropping each hour however. Unfortunately, I had to stay late at work tonight so she got her shot 45 min. late :YMSIGH: Mom tested her pmbg (+11.75-7:15 pm) and she was 268. I gave her shot at 12.75- 8:15 pm. Not sure I entered correctly on the ss.The latest I can give her am shot tomorrow is 7:45am, which would be 1/2 hour early. She may be bouncing from these low numbers anyway, so she should be ok, and of course mom will be here to monitor/test.

Edited to add- Thanks for the info Julie! I will inquire of her vet about the adequan shots. I forget now who it is, but someone else was giving the cosequin also and had a rise in #s as well.
