Yesterday

Champ had a pretty good day (for him) yesterday. I would love to see more greens so it looks like I may have to increase him to 2.25u. Of course, the last time he was on that dose, it was too much so we shall see what happens. I'll do the increase tonight.

Yesterday, there were some interesting convo's in Champs condo about FF carb values and going to a raw diet. I appreciate everyone's input...very helpful!!! Thanks, Ann, for giving me all those links for a raw diet. I do believe I'll be going to the store today to get what I need. I wish I didn't have to order the premix online so I could get him started today, but oh well!! Just as an aside, yesterday AM cycle I fed Champ FF chunky chicken and his numbers were fine. With his PM cycle, I fed him a FF fish flavor and his numbers were fine. At AMPS this morning, I fed him a fish flavor and by +4 he had risen very little. At +4, I fed him FF chopped grill and his BG rose significantly by +5.5. I think chopped grill is off the menu.

Champ had a great morning. He was being his prediabetic self and it was wonderful!!! He was active, wandering around the house, being feisty!!! It was so awesome!!!! Now he's curled up in his bed sleeping the afternoon away. Ahhhh, the life of a cat!!

Good luck with the dose crease.

Champ feeling his prediabetic self, being active and feisty is so awesome :-D

Good to hear that Champ was feeling so great today.

And thanks for asking the food question yesterday. I purchased the TC feline premix. It's interesting. It was originally called Feline Future. Then because of some lawsuit from an individual in Texas they wouldn't ship it to Texas. The company was sold and now I too can buy the premix now. I have no idea if Curry will eat the raw. But it is certainly worth a try. She still needs to lose some wt but she is stalled at her current wt.

Have a good evening.

Glad you're giving raw a try! Once you confirm Champ will eat it, I'd recommend making quadruple batches and freeze. Then, you're only making food once a month. I mix in my big roasting pan... makes it very easy.

Now hopefully, those numbers will turn around for you!!

Glad to hear Champ is doing so well!! The food fiasco is driving us crazy over here. I hope your plans work out for Champ! Champs condo was very helpful to us, too. Even though we won't be going raw, I'm going to try and remain hopeful that eliminating FF from Trixie's diet will get her back into Trixie numbers.

Have a great evening!!!

Glad to see romp 'em stomp 'em former Chompers back in town!!!! You may think he's looking at a bounce buuuuttttttt....he bears watching!

Seeing them back to their old selves is what all this is about! I wonder if the rise id the food or just a bounce? Good luck w/ the raw. My only caveat with it is that it is so low carb, the insulin doesn't have anything to work on and you get a roller coaster effect. i'll be giving it another go soon though.

You and Champers are going raw?!?! Good for you both! I can't wait to hear how he likes it and how easy/hard it is to make.

Good luck with the dose crease and c'mon back down to the green lagoon Champ!

Glad to hear that Champ is feeling more like his old self. The mixed grill also always seems to make Simon's bg rise. Good luck with the raw diet...I'll be interested to hear if Champ's bg changes with the new diet.

Geez, I just love all of you so much !!!! You all care so much for my Champ and take the time to come to his condo and I appreciate it so much. I hope you all know how much I love your kitties, too!! I wish I could hug each and every one of you!!
